well, the victory here is that you caught the damage before leaving and they aren't denying fault.

tell them exactly what you posted here, you'd rather have a new center cap.

This happened to me on 2 wheels, PM me if you want to know who fixed mine, cant tell it was ever scuffed

edit: You can buy just one center cap as you already know, have them give you 30 bucks for that, also if they scuffed the outside edge of your lip (I'm assuming) like they did mine they can easily refinish that edge without touching the anodizing on your lip and no you wont have to polish.

1. Tell them you want a new rim.
2. Sell the old rim.
3. ????
4. Profit!

Only the lip is anodized, but have them get you a new rim, sounds like they screwed the pooch!

sorry my camera right now.

well they first said they will order rim up.

then called me next day saying they have none in stock. i told them to give forged performance a call. where i orignally bought them. discount tire said they were out of stock too.

they gave me 2 options from there.

wait 3 months or take a check for $400.

i asked why $400 when rim cost is like 800?

they said that is the best they could do.

i said i will think about it.. they call me 2 hrs later saying they found a vendor that has one in stock lol.

should i be worried about getting a replica or something haha? OH.. and they want my old rim back too... gay

they aren't going to try to swing a replica underneath ya mang, you will be able to tell for sure. I have matte bronze rota grids if you want to see the difference sometime just send me a PM, you live close.

it sounds right that they would want the old wheel. they can recoup some of their lost money with it for sure if it's repairable. otherwise you could probably sell it yourself for a good chunk of profit, they wouldn't want that : P

**** happens, how they deal with the issue at hand is where the trust comes in. they are a big chain store though, I am sure one discount tire shop could handle the situation flawlessly, and another would f' you over.
