Im a new owner of an 06 Z and also new to this forum...but I gota ask whats an Osiris tune? seems like an easy way of getting some extra power out of your mostly stock motor and ecu.. but im sure theres more to it.. any explanations to it??

but to get back on subject I used to own a 2000 Type R that Intec had worked on 3 separate times.. always good and surprisingly quick work.

http://www.uprev.com/products.php

click on standard to see the kinda things it does. the main reason to do it after doing your bolt ons is that your car will be running lean and the only way to get a proper afr is to use some form of engine management.

to get full potential out of bolt on n/a mods a ecu reflash and dyno tune from the right tuner (lawrence at intec is great). he will squeeze out all the performance you can get, while keeping your car running healthy.

One of the main benefits to Osiris IMO is syncing the throttle. From the factory, no matter how fast you push the pedal the throttle opens at a controlled rate to reduce emissions and stuff. With Osiris you can sync is up so that when you slam on the gas the throttle slams on too. Makes a big difference.

You can also turn off/ remove CEL lights, remove the speed limiter, idealize the air/fuel mixture, etc.

You will see better gas mileage, a MUCH smoother ride, stronger acceleration without the normal surges/ hiccups, and more power.

Don't know if it was just me or not but my car also sounded a lot throatier after I got it tuned NA.

how much does it usually cost? I know that tuning can sometimes take longer on some applications, but it seems like a pretty standard thing with just bolt ons.

Yes these guys are great. Had my Titan Tuned by him also, and my Titan runs so much better now. Now that I picked up a Nismo Z, I'll be visiting him real soon.
