Corbeau seat question
ok i just got a a4 red Corbeau seat and i want to put it in my new Z. but i dont know how they sit i know sparco sit a little low and i very short. what brackets should i use to beable to see over the dash lol? also he gave me 2 takata 4 point harnesses to put in my car but dont know if i should or not i dont have a bar or a cage so dont know how to put it in with the seat they are shorts. any advise as to what i can use to put these in so i can see what about another for matching pair any Corbeau dealers in tacoma?
i'll be helpful.
you cant get brackets with different heights, typically seats are either side mount or bottom mount, with side mounts sitting lower. if you want to raise the seat up, you will either have to modify your brackets or get a different seat.
to install your takata harnesses you will need at the very least a harness bar installed. i have no idea of anyone who sells them outright, most likely you will need to take your car to a aftermarket performance shop and have them build you one.
and last, i'd recommend against corbeau seats. they're cheaply made and generally look like crap in anything that's not a 4x4 truck or jeep. sell the seats and brackets, get a set of sparco, bride, recaro, or status seats and you will be much happier with the car. all of these companies have a wide variety of seats and brackets to help you with your goal.

thanks for the help that seat looked ok but I'll take your word on it. I think i will just post it up on nwn or some honda site they all seem to want this kind of seat. as for the harnesses i think I'll just sell em i think. found someplace in port orchard that builds cages but not looking to dump that kind of money that i could by some nice mods for the motor or coils.
$405 gets you a 4-point cage shipped to your door...as for the corbeau seats, i havent sat in the ones you purchased, but i did however sit in some others, and i think those are gonna be the seats that i purchase because they look decent, are priced very nicely, and im not a midget. those seats are made for bigger people like me (6'5"). Sounds like you have the opposite problem though for being too short and not being able to see over the steering wheel. Different companies make different brackets and some sit higher/shorter then others. just find some of the taller ones (dont know which ones they are since i look for the super low mount ones)

I know a guy in Kent who builds sick cages if you're looking for one.
He just did one in the Intec Racing AE86 with the s2K motor in it that took 1st in its debut at Evergreen pro am round 3 last month
