Default I'm Looking for a good body shop in the South King Co. or Pierce Co. area...

Well... we got some snow this past monday and it didn't fair too well for me. 275 rear summer tires in snow are no bueno. I tried to get my car home from Federal Way to Puyallup and didn't make it, to say the least. I left Federal Way at about 10am from 272nd and Pacific Highway, went down to 348th to get on HGWY 18 hoping it'd be more clear than pac hgwy aaand it wasn't. I was going about 15-20mph the whole way and right between I-5 and the Weyerhaueser Way exit on East bound 18 I started to the shoulder. I was counter steering but then it caught and the front end headed toward the ditch. Mother f*ckin ABS wouldn't let me brake at all so in to the ditch i went. Luckily for me there was a tree there to help stop me. By the time i got the car pulled out about an hour and a half later all the snow was cleared off the roads too. whoopy!!!!! The airbags didn't deploy luckily and I wasn't hurt at all so to me its not that bad. Could have been much worse...

At the top is where I went into the ditch, and the bottom is where i pulled the car out.

Above the hay is the tree that my driver's side headlight stopped on, and to the right of it is a smaller tree my passenger side headlight clipped on the way in.

This is right after I pulled the car out. You can see where the tree was. In the background that's my girlfriend's Big F'n Tacoma (B.F.T.) I used to pull the car out with myself.

Here's what I'm looking for: i want a body shop someone has dealt with before or knows the owner/manager/technician there. My goal is to find someone to work with me to make this a positive situation i.e. getting the 06 projectors on my 04 since both of my headlights are damaged, possibly an aftermarket bumper, and due to high centering entering the ditch, but more so pulling the car out, I'm hoping my exhaust system was damaged and i can get aftermarket exhaust too. I'm also looking for a reputable shop because my car being Caribbean Blue, it's gonna be a PITA to color match. Probably not taking the car in to a shop til after x-mas, but that's why I'm doing my research now. If anyone has any *useful* information, please let me know.

Oh Noooo !!! ..... Your headlights are all yellow and junk!!

Sucks to think that if you had waited one more hour...this would never have happened.
But...
If this had never happened, you would still be waiting to upgrade your headlights.
Think positive...this could be a good thing.

Skips autobody is pretty good. I always took my car to them and they've been great. I know the owner, he's a family friend of ours. Great body shop. He's located somewhere on exit 149 on i5.

What the hell is "fib"?? They'll put in your headlights for sure if you ask them too, or bring the headlights to them. If you can bring all the parts you need to him, then yeah he can do everything right there. Unless you need help finding parts, then I can ask.

not exactly something I would ask in a public forum myself but yes it sounds like a bit of a stretch : )

can't blame the guy for wanting to make a positive experience out of a bad situation. personally I would just offer to pay the difference in cost for new old gen vs new gen headlights.

OH. Well... let's just say, I got in an accident (only damage in the front passenger headlight side), took my car to Skips Auto Body, and my car came out with a Nismo V2 front, Amuse sides, and Central 20 rear ordered from Shine.

not lie, just not specify what they're ordering... i need 2 headlights, so why not make my car safer by adding the projectors? they are after all a factory part.

all paid for by insurance with the only out of pocket money being for your deductible?

Yes DJ that is correct, plus wrote me a check for $600 dollars because he didn't charge me labor and gave me a fat discount... I can't guarantee a fatty discount like that, but he will treat you right if I send you there.

He's asian, so he gets what you're trying to do, he helped me with what I should tell my insurance company to get the most out of the accident.
