Default *Event* Karting at Pat's Acres Canby, OR Sat Mar 20th

Equinox Enduro

We are planning a trip to get a taste of real karting, and I thought I would post up to let you all know, and maybe some of you want to go try it out too!!

The place is Pats Acres in Canby Oregon, about 20 miles South of Portland.

The Date is: Saturday, March 20th

We do not have the exact run schedule yet, but plan on the entire day. They open at 10am, so we might plan on leaving as early as 6:30am from the Seattle area.

Here is a link to a pic of the track:

and the typical rental kart:

We are still working on a few details, but here is some info that I do know is going to happen.

The format will be something like two 10 minute (late) morning sessions each, followed by a break for lunch. Then they will allow us to take the track to ourselves for a 2 hour enduro. This would be 30 minute stints for each driver in the four driver team. We will also be deriving how the teams will be made up, so don't worry about teaming up and creating a ringer team.

They would actually be done in 30 minute intervals, as the karts need to have a break, and get refueled under controlled conditions etc. Afterwards, we would head up to the Portland area for a place to sit down and eat together, and talk about how sore we are, and how fast we were(n't).

We have a reservation for the banquet room at Buster's Texas Style Barbeque in Tigard right after the karting fun. Here is a link to the BBQ:http://www.bustersbarbecue.com/
The food will be pay as you go, individual tickets. After talking with the BBQ guy, he said it would actually offer more variety and be cheaper overall to do it this way, and let us reserve the room.

The total number of people is limited to 40, and the cost will be $80 each, which includes the race license fee. We do need to have 40 people though, and it will be done on a pre-registration basis. I will have the forms available next week for everyone to fill out and send in to me. You can also pay by Visa/MC over the phone and send the form later, so that your spot is secured. Will need to have all the payments in next week by March 12th to make this happen.

We will be taking reservations now, you can call me in the evenings and weekend at the shop number: 425-255-9706

You can leave a message there too, someone will call you back.

Hope to see you guys! Lots of the S2000 people are going, as well as a few road racers.

Jim
