Default Cheapest Header install?

Where's the chepaest place to have headers installed?

How much did you guys spend on header installation?

Contemplating installing pro-1 headers but not sure if its worth the price.
265 for headers+220 jet-hot+ plus 450 install= 935 for headers that will only net about 10hp.

might want to have the exhaust install at the same time to save on labor and give you a bit more hp.

IMO...If there is even a small chance you are considering going FI in the future (i.e. Turbo, Supercharger), save your money. If your are strongly taking the NA route, then I'd say go for it. If you are serious in doing the install, ZCarGarage in San Jose does excellent work. Ask for Rob and tell him James refered you.

That's not true James. If you plan on getting a supercharger, you are going to want better headers. Now if you plan on going turbo, it is a waste of money.

Sorry. This is something I've simply just read on these forums since I too am considering headers. I'm not at all an expert in FI. Thanks for pointing it out though.

Not a problem. I completely understand. There are several people on this forum who just post nonsense. That nonsense makes sense to some people and they jump on the band wagon. This then turns false information into what seems like viable information.

I have had almost every performance mod done to my car at one time or another. Before I went FI, I thought I was going to push the NA thing to the limit, but there is no bang for buck. (by performance mod, I am referring to "go fast" mods, not suspension or wheels, etc.)

I am game to install just about any part on any car but, I have to say that headers on this car are a PITA. I bought a set of Borla headers when they first came out and I was going to install them myself. About 20 minutes into the install the scope of the project was evident and I decided to bail. This is one mod that I would be willing to pay to have done. It may not be too bad if you have help though. My local Nissan dealer said they would install headers for $450 which isn't *too* much if you consider it takes at least a day. Maybe less if you have done enough of them to find a few shortcuts.

i got quoted 85 bux and hour and the install time is appox 5 hrs.

I dont know if the gains are worth the price. I could just get a plenum and pulley.
