FYI, don't forget to turn on your headlights at the same time you do your windshield wipers. You can be sited (misdemeanor) for not doing it. New law this year! Don't expect that to happen much but I can see the point of doing it.
Just turn them on for safety even when it's overcast. I see so many thoughtless steerers of cars, especially with dark colored ones, motoring around. So what if YOU can see....make it easier for others.
Thank you for your attention

Good heads up! I first heard about this practice from a Midwesterner, and it makes eminent sense. The question isn't whether or not the driver in question can see others, but whether or not the other drivers can see him or her! Too bad the Z doesn't have DLRs.
Not to derail this thread but I have been thinking about doing DRL on my z. While I was doing some research, I found a site that is against DRL, I thought it was a joke but somehow, there was no punchline. http://www.lightsout.org/
My thoughts were to switch the top amber bulbs to white and use them, as white is perfectly legal here for blinkers and DRL. Most cars with DRL and HID use the non-HID high beams for the DRL so that is a possibility too.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

I always drive with my lights on day and night. so may times during accidents, you hear " I just didn't see them." So if it gives that other driver a chance to see you, you might as well do it.

Further clarification of the law which makes it stupid. You only need the lights on when it is necessary to have you wipers on all the time...constant motion. If it's just a drizzle or misting and you only need your intermittant setting the law doesn't apply. It's subjective to the officers interpretation to cite you or not. Why do they do such stupid laws. Hey if it's wet out use your lights plain and simple.
