We need to set an in-park location and time for everyone to meet. From there we can drive out to a few choice locations for photoshoots. Once that points established, everyone can get their caravan points together. We'll probley bring our group up from Starbucks on McHenry in Modesto. We plan on coming in over Priest grade on our end. So, first order of business, a place and time. Suggestions?

This is not a tentative list any longer, so get on so there's an idea of what to plain. This idea of most of Cal. meeting in Yosemite is great. Here are the approximate distances:
south-------Visalia to Fresno~~~~~~=50 miles
................Fresno to Yosemite Village =80miles
................Merced to " " =86miles
................Medesto &B.A." " =115miles
So. West---Bay area to Medesto =50 ish miles
No. West---Santa Rosa to " =100 ish miles
No. East----Sparks- Nav.to Y.V. =150 ish miles
North ----Sac'town to Drytown (meet w/ plas'vill) 35miles TOTAL 145miles
-----Placerville to ChineseCamp =90 mls + 55ish miles to Y.V. TOTAL 145miles
---------------Carson City to Y.V. =130ish miles
..........................SEE POST #36...............
If we all get to the other sites NOW we have a chance to beat the No. Va. 90--- 350Z's & a total of 135 cars at one event.
two cents---get a place to all meet up where we can arrange for food (I'll help do this ) & other meet type things . keep it simple

If anyone wants to hit Modesto on May 6th & ride up with the Modesto group, I'll have a detail day at my shop. (Going to be doing my car anyway, so what the heck) The Modesto group will be meeting at Starbucks at 8am on McHenry. The wife & I are heading to the Yosemite area this coming weekend to plan some locations for photo shoots. It's time to get your caravans together.
2 Weeks till the 7th of May
This past weekend we did a pre-run to Yosemite to check things out. IT WAS GREAT!!!! This is going to be a great run!
I'm putting up a new thread today with photos from the pre-run to get your motors running! Check it out. I'll call the thread "2005 Yosemite Run Preview".
Now- on with the plans.
The NorCal group can meet us at my shop on Friday the 6th for a detail day. 1 car, 6 cars, 20 cars, I don't care. We've got a big lot. PM me and let me know if your coming, or post here. You can leave your car car products at the shop and pick them up on your way home. I'll post the address in Modesto as the date draws near. After a wash n wax we're heading an hour up the hill to lLake Tullock Resort in Copperopolis to spend the night. We worked a deal with the manager for us this weekend. Rooms are normally $139 on the lake. Call in and let them know you're with the Z's and get the room for 99 bucks. That goes for Sat night as well if needed. I'll post the number for LTR soon, let me know by way of this thread or PM if there's interest.
The next day has a 1 hour drive to Priest Grade. Don't know about Priest Grade? Infamuse section of 120 leading into the Yosemite area. Steep switchback workout that's worth the price of admission alone! See pics on the other thread. After shooting the canyon a dozon or so times it's off to Yosemite.
It's about a 45minute run into the park. $20 admission, or you can do what we did last weekend and pay $40 for a yearly pass. Once in the park it's a day of site seeing and stop and great as you see other Z's. Don't forget to wave at your brethren as you pass. All the scenic locations in the park have turnouts. Non of these are large enough for more than a few cars, so we won't have a formal meet and photoshoot until 5pm in the main parkinglot. We'll post these location details later. Basically durring the day, If you see a Z, stop, say hi, introduce yourself, and get to know others in the community. Keep your day simple!
BTW- The Crossfires will be in the park on the same day, nice chance to get to know some other sports enthusiests as well.
The falls are incredible! Best I've ever seen them. No snow in the park. Prime time of the year for a run! Plenty of food in the park both cheap and expensive, take your pick.

Beaker02: Is there going to be one major meet point before entering the park on the 7th? Just trying to figure time and mileage for those of us that live way up here in Upper NorCal....possibly Lake Tullock Resort?
Of course we'll try to group up with the south Bayers' first.

The only timed event in the park is a photo shoot with everybody at 5pm in the main parking lot. They will give you a paper when you enter the park with the location of the main lot in it. (You cant miss it).
I'd like to see some SoCals get their act together on their end. Surely there's some great stuff to see, places to drive, and places to stay on the way up from SoCal.
BTW- Here's the current list. My guess is that it will double in the next 2 weeks. I don't think we'll have as many as some recent events due to the overnight requirements of this type of run, but everybody that's able to make it seems stoked! If you can do it, it won't be a run to miss! So, if your onboard, let us know by updating the list. And please....somebody from SoCal step up to the plate and organize your end of the state.

Beaker,
Did you post this up in the So. Cal section as well? They might not even know this meet exists since it's under the Nor. Cal section unless you can get one of the Mods to put (NorCal & SoCal) under the title.
