Ok we're a week away and those leaving on Saturday morning from the Eastbay should come up with a meet point unless you want to all drive up separately. I know the South Bay folks are meeting at Rob's or at least I think they are.

The Eastbay folks should meet at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasington since this is PROBABLY middle ground for most and it's on 580 going towards hwy 120.

What do you think?

Is this the information as we know it, is there anything to add/correct/change?

You can leave your car car products at the shop and pick them up on your way home. I'll post the address in Modesto as the date draws near. After a wash n wax we're heading an hour up the hill to lLake Tullock Resort in Copperopolis to spend the night. We worked a deal with the manager for us this weekend. Rooms are normally $139 on the lake. Call in and let them know you're with the Z's and get the room for 99 bucks. That goes for Sat night as well if needed. I'll post the number for LTR soon, let me know by way of this thread or PM if there's interest.

The next day has a 1 hour drive to Priest Grade. Don't know about Priest Grade? Infamuse section of 120 leading into the Yosemite area. Steep switchback workout that's worth the price of admission alone! See pics on the other thread. After shooting the canyon a dozon or so times it's off to Yosemite.

It's about a 45minute run into the park. $20 admission, or you can do what we did last weekend and pay $40 for a yearly pass. Once in the park it's a day of site seeing and stop and great as you see other Z's. Don't forget to wave at your brethren as you pass. All the scenic locations in the park have turnouts. Non of these are large enough for more than a few cars, so we won't have a formal meet and photoshoot until 5pm in the main parkinglot. We'll post these location details later. Basically durring the day, If you see a Z, stop, say hi, introduce yourself, and get to know others in the community. Keep your day simple!

BTW- The Crossfires will be in the park on the same day, nice chance to get to know some other sports enthusiests as well.

The falls are incredible! Best I've ever seen them. No snow in the park. Prime time of the year for a run! Plenty of food in the park both cheap and expensive, take your pick.

If you want to do the Preist Grade portion of the run I sugest spending the night with us at LTR. We will leave LTR fror breakfast around 8am. Sould be on the road to PG by 9am-ish.

The only timed event in the park is a photo shoot with everybody at 5pm in the main parking lot. They will give you a paper when you enter the park with the location of the main lot in it. (You cant miss it).

Here's the information for anyone booking a room Friday or Saturday night at Lake Tulloch Resort;

Rooms are normally $139. Call and ask for the Z rate of $99 per night or simply ask for the manager Rob McLaughlin. Let Rob know your one of the Z's making the Yosemite run.
The number at the lake is: Phone: (209)785-8200
The website for directions is: www.laketullochresort.com

Please let us know who has reservations Fri. night, who will meet us in the morning, and if anyone will drive up with us Fri. after a detail day in Modesto.

Thanks for the updates and PM's guys. Here's an update on the known confirmed, likely, and possible.

^ Great! Note: cell phones do not work at LTR. We'll have to meet up at the front door of the restaurant at or before 7. We should all try to wear something Z, Nismo, etc. to make it easy to identify our group to each other Fri. Also, best Z parking is against the mountain in the back lot (by the white tank). No one can throw a door into you! Our reservations are confirmed Fri./Sat. Chance of rain Fri. & Sun. but Sat. is still A-OK.

You should make it around 7. We'll let them know in the front where the Z table is. Just ask.

Hey, anyone know if snow or flooding is going to be an issue?

I really don't want to do a Z run in my Pathfinder, it just looses everything in the translation.

all who have res. for Fri. or Sat are going to get charged ??

if we call they might wave Sat, if we go on Fri. and then the trip can't go to Yosemite on Sat.

2cents---i'll go on Fri. & us my Sat. res. to help put the deal down

I just taked to LTR to cancel now is ok to cancel Sat. is not If those that are staying Sat. would call me we have alternatives 925-361-0699/or 0708
cell # is 925-580-9468 I'll MOST likely be there Fri. LOOKING GOOD.

or we'll just leave this as is ..........................

If there is too much snow we can hang out in Sonora then go to the bar at the hotel and close it.

I am going, that's for sure, I am just wondering what to expect.

When I got home I started punching in zip codes and according to Yahoo Weather it looks like this

Copperopolis-95228: Thurs.=Rain-61/49, Fri.=Showers-66/48, Sat.=Partly Cloudy-70/48, Sun Isolated Thunderstorms-66/48

Groveland-95321: Thurs.=Rain-56/42, Fri.=Showers-58/40, Sat.=Partly Cloudy-63/41, Sun Isolated Thunderstorms-59/41

Mariposa-95338: Falls in between the two above.

It looks like it's just gonna be rain and not snow, it's just not cold enough for that.

Yahoo! Weather is looking good! Sat Yosemite weather has dropped from 30% chance of rain to 10%. Partly cloudy. Sight seeing index raised from 8 to a 9. 49 deg. on the vally floor Sat. Todays weather in the central valley calls for 30% chance all day, going away early eve. As long as it's not raining, i'm washing.

We plan on leaving Modesto at 4pm to meet up with the LTR gang for a 7pm dinner. Wait to be seated until 7pm in the reasturants register area. If we dont hook up with anyone by 7 we'll get a table and let the folks at the front know it's the Z crowd table. If you come in after 7 just ask for the Z table.

Desert at 9pm at the B&R31 in Sonora.

8:30am Sat meet in the hotel lobby to caravan to breakfast. A shot of all the LTR Z's in the front of the resort would be nice.

9am Breakfast at Perkos in Sonora.

When done with breakfast, off to Yosemite via Preist Grade.

Bring:
Warm cloths.
Rain wear if your walking up to the falls.
Hikeing shoes.
Insect repellent for night. (Gets thick)
Hat/sunscreen/etc. Yosemite will fry you at only 49deg.
CAMERAS
tele lens and/or binoculars.
$ for food and park entrance.

Enjoy the park and meet other Z & Crossfire enthusiests.

5pm photoshoot meet at the day parking area. (This will be noted on your map you will get when you enter the park. Also, see attached. Another great photo op is bridge 11 on the map. Halfdome is the backdrop. Best at sunset. Wow!
