Default Worst Week Ever

Let's start off on Saturday when I was one of the three Z's that was damaged due to the wind. I had a 5" crease on my rear wheel well. I meet up with Chris who's doing the Ding meet in May on Tuesday and had an appointment this morning. Let me first say that he was awesome and took his time. He's a perfectionist and took a little more than 2 hours on my car. Looks like new again!

Ok, on my way to see Chris this morning, a piece of concrete was in road and I couldn't avoid it. I drove over it and it struck my exhaust and put a BIG dent in it. Fortunately it didn't puncture the pipe and you can't see the damage unless you look under the car.

Not finished yet!

On my way home, I took a U-turn and guess what? I rubbed my darn front wheel on a curb! I went down to Union City (Wheels America) and got a quote for a $120 and they said they didn't know whether it could be fixed but they'd try.

I should have worked this week instead of being on vacation. Boy did this week screw me!

Thanks for the offer James, I just want to get this week over with. I have the car on jack stands now. Hope to get the rim fixed and back on Friday.

I told the wife with my luck the car will fall off the stands tonight.

I'm sure everything will be fine. Just be happy you didn't have a week like this guy:

Glad the dent worked out, Bob ... I was on the left side of you when that happened, and my 105lb navigator had to put her weight into it, not to let the door swing open on the other side!!

Josh, the guy in the middle got it on both sides... He said the passenger side where he got smacked (dead center of the door) has paint missing, and probabally can't be cleaned up with paintless dent removal.

good luck with the rest of the damage from this week!

Bummer!

I have the wheel off the car and was going to bring it to them this morning. Anyone know of a better place?

Hey NeurOsis,
Please thank the young lady for me as she saved me the trouble of having to fix both sides. She had to be strong to hold the door in that wind tunnel.

I feel bad for Josh because he got it from both sides. I was lucky that I had no paint missing.

Now I've got to find another place to have the wheel fixed.

Bubble,
I'll go check out Wheel Techniques in Campbell and have them do the work. I'll let you know how it turns out. No complaints from the BBB, but they're not members either.

Wheels America (Union City) three complaints since 2000 and none resolved. Not members either.

Consider yourself lucky dude.

My week is a lot worse than yours. I got cut from shaving.
And then I got kicked in my nuts area a couple of days ago. OUCH

I can't believe both mishaps happened in the same area in the same week.

One word, arvin: wax.

I think I'm lucky enough that I can pound out the edge of my door and put some touch-up paint on it.
