Probably a month or two ago. I'm too lazy to change them out now. Plus, no budget.

Damn our friendship and the conflict of interests!

haha, I'm almost positive the ones from florida are sold to me. I cant wait to slam my ride how I originally intended. Anyway, on the rears the max they can go is 1.2" as I understand. I'm wondering if there is a way I can modify the rear setup to go a tad lower out back.

Any ideas? Maybe cut half or a quarter dead coil?

Our friendship and conflict of interests has led me to discontinue our current relationship in favor of individual business opportunities. Please cease all communications with me. Our friendship contract has been fulfilled, effective immediately.

hehe. i wouldn't recommend cutting any springs... not to mention that cutting a tein spring is just wrong!!

If you dump the rear 1.2 inches, you'll definitely have a camber issue to address. I'm guessing the rear will look more dumped once the rear camber is in factory specs again.

LOL..

Well since I'm running 10.5" rears with a +17 offset, I'll need some negative camber. I think my car as it sits is already at least that low in back.

I'm certainly against cutting the spring, its against everthing I stand for. However, considering I'm not trackign the car I'm looking at my options. Maybe I can use a different spring instead?

Looking to use a different spring is an option, but I'd imagine these are already pretty damn short. Maybe the rear springs from the Tein flex kits are a bit shorter...

19x10.5 I assume? I think that mike's (jdm touch) tein basic dumpage in the rear is the hawtness as-is.

Yah 19x10.5 rear. Hoping to get pics of his ride from teh side and closeups of the rear fender gap.

It'll probalby be fine as is, but I need somethign to think about ya know? LOL. Not to mention, the stereo that is going in should drop it down a tad more as well.

Ravi, I don't think max drop is 1.2". I seen other people with Tein Basics have max drops of 2.5".

In the rear though? I know the front can be dropped very, very low. The rears I think can't go that much. If they can, I've been missing out by not buying these a long time ago.

Double check, I think they can go lower then 1.2" for the rears.

I went on Teins website, and it shows max rear is 1.1" ...I don't know if I'm reading the table correctly. Its a very poor interface.

I'm not too sure then. I've seriously seen people drop them more then 1.5"+.

i think i'd have to agree. specs are specs...but a 1.1" max drop is almost a silly spec to use in designing a coilover. I understand for the nismo's...but not tein! My eibach springs are sagging down to about 1" in the rear as-is haha.

Hi Tony...how are those basics bud?

So you do think its more than 1.2" then? I agree that 1.2" drop is stupid for people looking particularly for a ride height adjustment.
