Question question for the Tein basic owners.

Sup..

Have any of you lowered your rear as far as the adjustment plates would go?
I did, and to me, this still isn't low enough IMO. I was wondering if your adjustment plates made contact with the base of your orange adjustment piece or not. Mine seem to stop 3mm short or so.

Any input is much appreciated. Pictures are worth a thousand words!

Thank you!
Jon

Is it threadded all the way down? On my Tein CS, the threadding stops about that close to the base ... so it can't be adjusted any lower.

Of course, that would lower me like 3" or something , and my exhaust would make contact with the ground constantly. (yes, I'm exagerating! but that'd be damn low)

You know you'll probbally never get the camber back in spec with the car that low?

haha. Actually, I *thought* that before I installed the kit, the adjustment bases allowed the perches to go all the way down. But since they both won't allow of it now and yours aren't threaded all the way down...I might just be delusional now.

I know that the tein basic and flex kits use the same adjustment assemblies for the rear...I'm pretty sure they use the same ones on your CS as well (rear shocks and springs differ).

Apprently I need your springs so I can dump my rears! lol.
I'm debating either removing the locking plate or removing both plates all together and running on the adjustment base alone haha. That'll probably dump me near 3" though w/ no adjustability. :x haha

There's a few mm of space between the plate and the base. You can remove one or both the plates but watch for your camber.

Thanks for all the help guys. Much appreciated.

KarmaMag...I was considering this method. Have you known any one to ride on this set up like this? I'd just be a tad worried about the adjustment plate moving w/o the locking plate in place. Although, it'd have to fight against a LOT of weight/pressure constantly pressing on it.

Take both out

I haven't heard that anyone has done it but I wouldn't mind doing it on my own car. I think one should be good enough to support the weight of the car, IMO.

take out the locking perch, jon! Done that on many previous cars that were tein equipped as such. This coming from the same guy that always removes the helpersprings on teins for friends cars. really gives you more dumpage haha!

p.p.s. <--giggle - Scientists told me that if you remove that spring perch, you can drop your car like it's hawt!

I took the liberty of photoshopping your new POSSIBLE drop! DO IT!!!
