Default North Bayers help please

Hey guys, what shops around here have the pay no deductable policy thing and do you guys know how that works? I am pretty sure G&C Auto Body does that but I've heard bad things about them. TIA.

I got rear ended in the WRX tonight by some hick in a huge truck and I don't feel like paying $500 for their stupidity.

Haha, funny timing... saw Dan tonight at my house! Nice to see you, I'm rude, I didn't invite you to see my Starbucks pad.

Bummer Anna.

Sorry, can't recommend anybody. Haven't needed a body shop shop for more then 20 years and don't pay attention to ads.

Anna -

Good to see you tonight... Ian got the bike! :-)

I know that Dan @ Windsor Auto Body does a pretty good job (I'd rate my bumper at about 8/10, but I'm a perfectionist... and Black is a lot easier).

They advertise on the radio that you "Won't Pay a Deductable" there, so I know he has some tricks up his sleeve. Might be worth a call. Their number is (707)838-8707. Ask for Dan. Tell him the other "Dan" with the 350z sent ya.

damn, that sucks
do what I do, get the big estimate from GNC($$$) then just do a cash settlement with your insurance company and take your car to a less expensivebut better than GNC shop( you heard right about GNC) you should easily come out with your deductable +a bit if you play it right

Sorry about the car Anna, glad you are alright! These cowboys up here like to ride our tails. I saw a good lic plate holder you might want to get. ("If you are riding my a$$ , you better be pulling my hair")

I have used Advance Tech on Todd Rd. they used to do all the lexus cars until Freeman got their own shop. They painted the side of my Z and it was perfect. they did a whole rear end on my SC400 and it was perfect too. they don't just paint the area, they blend it in. G&C are crooks.!

Dan, I don't know about black being easy to paint and match. I haven't found that to be the case. I had my Grand National painted about 4 times until it was right. (not done by Advanced Tech)

Ok, thanks everyone for the advice and the recommendations. Yesterday I was not so upset about my car but today I'm PISSED. I guess just because I don't want to deal with it.

Dan, I have heard that commercial, I think I might check out Windsor Auto Body, thanks for the # and all

Jeremy: I don't understand about a cash settlement from my insurance... I can ask for that? I didn't know that was an option... I have never had to use my insurance before so I'm not sure what I'm doing! Edit: Progressive does not do cash settlements. Bastages!

Walt: I WANT that license plate frame!! I know Advanced Tech is one of Progressives recommended auto shops and it's close to my house, thanks. Hmm.

ARG. Blah.

damn, sorry to hear that. I'm glad you're ok!!
If you got rear ended & you're not at fault, the insurance company will usually waive the deductable. Just talk to your agent first.

GLAD U R OK !!!!!!

On krinkov statement, I make around $1000 off each rear end hit, on Susan's car (always),but the story is to long for me to type. If you want call --925-580-9468 [& I saw where your company doesn't do that].

READ the first line under this sentence.(not the second one, loling)

i'm glad that your not hurt too bad. might wanna have your neck checked out by a doctor tho. her insurance should pay for everything, your car repairs and medical bills.

Yeah Anna... like I said, remember that your neck really hurts. Gotta make sure that turbo is running nice on the rex!

I have also had a good experience with Larkfield Autobody. They are AWESOME at paintmatch (they did some work on my Prelude) ...

But yeah, definatly stay away from G&C ... bad news over there.

Thanks everyone Haha, DAn...! I just talked to my insurance and yeah, they explained that since she accepted liability at the scene hopefully she's already contacted her insurance and accepted it with them and her ins. will pay my deductable. Yay! That's really all I was worried about... I'd rather spend my $ on something else.

oh jeez, I woulda told you that it was sounding like they didnt have insurance and YOU where covering it through your insurance. Oh BTW, since they are assuming liability, now you CAN get a cash settlement, so go get that GNC estimate and send it over to them, and yeah, hows your Z?
