The "official" East Bay Caravan to TI Meet 9/18/05
This caravan is for the Richmonites, Vallejoers, Oaklanders, Walnut Creekers, Concordians, Berzerkelys, Herculians, Pinolites.
I am thinking of meeting up in Holiday Inn parking lot in Emeryville (Powell St. exit). Around 11:00 AM
Also, It'll be nice if the Northbay and the Sacramento folks can also meet up with us.

Alternate plan based on last year's run
It was tough getting out of the Holiday Inn and back onto the freeway last year. I suggest getting off 880 and meeting at the small park accessible from the frontage road, Emery Point Park, just about a qtr mile north of the Holiday Inn. There is access just outside the park back onto 880.
From Vallejo and points north take the Ashby Avenue exit and turn left (towards the Bay) onto the frontage road, it is a short distance to the park on your right and access back onto the freeway is very easy.
From hwy 24 merge onto 580/880 Sac/Vallejo and take the Powell St exit , turn left under the freeway (on Powell St), then rt past the Holiday Inn, (keep left at the traffic light, going rt will put you back onto the freeway) onto the frontage road proceed approx 1/4 mile to the park.
The traffic is heavy and the traffic lights don't allow cars out of the parking lot very quickly, you then have to cross traffic and merge onto the freeway. It makes it difficult for a group of cars to remain together while exiting the parking lot and getting back on the freeway.

im from the EAST BAY...but from FREMONT...i dont wanna drive up to POWELL and drive all the way back down..to 92 hahahah gas anit cheap...but do love driving my Z...wut sup wit meetin down more maybe like UNION CITY KIRSPY KEREME?
