that sucks. i hate cold weather. that is why i liked it in phoenix so much. i guess if we decide its too cold for us, we will just move to socal after a few months. do you guys ever get together to do cruises or anything like that?

i love FC........grew up there.....
its really developed compared to how it was 10 years ago........i'm sure you will like it- great place to walk around/ or bike with your wifey....

we just got to our apartment today, but not sure if we will be staying here. we are trying to get an apartment somewhere else because we dont really like this place (apartment not city). the area is nice. pretty quiet from what we have seen so far.

what kinds of things do you guys like to do with your spare time here. any resteraunts, bars, areas on the city, etc that would be great for a newbie to the bay area. i am married so i usually go do things with my wife... unless it has to do with cars or racing, in which she usually wants no part of

Welcome to the area!
Shopping: Hillsdale Mall is pretty close to you, as is Bridgepoint Parkway
Movies: downtown San Mateo
Food: downtown san mateo, broadway st. in burlingame
All of the above are maybe 10 minutes away from you.
For bars and clubs, I'd say to go up to SF (30 minutes). You'll find plenty of them there.
