Default Question for SF member

what is up with SFPD? i parked at Golden Gate park and later found a $50 ticket for license expired tag. Don't they puch in the computer and it will show i had my registration renew already? Just that i haven't put in the new personal plate along with the new sticker yet. Anyone from SF know about the procedure on this? is it a fix ticket where i can show my registration with the new plate with the sticker or i have to pay the $50 ticket?

Thanks

Most likely a meter maid gave you that ticket. As far as I know, they don't run the plates to verify. In turn, they can't write you for 4000 (a) VC (Expired Registration). They can only write you for 5204 (a) VC (Improper Tabs), which IS a "fix it" ticket. Have it signed off by an Officer and pay a $10 court fee. I don't know about the $50.......of course, SF is the city where you pay $100 for a "no front plate' ticket.

I hope this helps.
