I just got the email for this blood drive...I did it last year and wouldn't miss it! Bascially, you sign up online, go to Infineon raceway, get a hot lap around the track (you don't get to drive...but the driver is an instructor) and then go give blood--I guess they know that if you give blood first, many ppl will pass out from the ride!

Last year Mario Andretti was there and gave rides in a Audi S4 (the V-8)...looks like he's too busy this year. I got a rdie with him in the S4 and also with the instructors in Dodge neon srt4s...both were amazingly fast!

btw: I'm slightly afraid of needles, but I've given blood several times and everything has gone okay...it's a good thing to do for those in need.

 

I can't go on 2/27 which is a Monday. Need to work.....
