Concord Nissan is great for service but sales they are still charging $5,000.00 over MSRP. My Z was pulling to the right when braking and they discovered it was the tire and replaced it. Oil changes so far have been free. Can't complain about that.

Mike,

I think the Enthusiast mod is the best buy of the bunch. I only switched to the Perfor. when I could not find a Brick without a spoiler in the Enthus. model & did not want to wait for the one I ordered.

Enjoy the car.

HAHA, okay got jacked by another dealer. Santa Rosa specifically called me to tell me they had a silverstone enthusiast. So i drive out there and doh!!!! its a chrome silver. Oh well, they were willing to go really really low on the car but its just not the color i'm looking for. Guess i'm ordering one.

Thanks
Mike

Default looking for silverstone too...

Heh, I'm looking for a silverstone too (touring 6spd). Seems like now its one of the harder colors to find...

I might end up going to Berkeley and ordering one, but they now claim its going to be 9 months before they can get an order.

deluded buzz--I think the reason why berkeley takes so long is that they are one of the smaller dealers, so they wouldnt really have priority. Hayward is saying 3 months for special orders, ask for Jim. I might have to go there tonite, unless i change my mind and pick up the CS.

Thanks
Mike

I ordered from Magnussen's Fremont Nissan in Newark. I emailed the Internet fleet manager and we agreed to MSRP. I didn't talk to the floor sales people because they want MSRP+markup. I put a deposit down in late September. I was 8th in line at the time and they were allocated 2 per month, so that would have been a January order, but they got allocation for 4 in December so my order went through 1 month early. Z will arrive in February. They offered me a daytona blue touring and a brickyard touring since but i have stuck to my original order. I've tried looking for the same Z at other dealers, but no go. Good luck in obtaining a Z. It's been 5 long months in the waiting for me.

Try Concord Nissan. Large inventory......Might be able to talk them down in price....They had cars rolling in by the truck loads. They got me mine within 4 hours.....Traded with other dealers.

Thanks, I'll try calling some of these internet sale guys.

I'm not really in the market until my current project is done in about a month, but can't wait...

Does anyone have any experience with the Stevens Creek Nissan service department? (if so, did you buy your car there) Capitol is a bit of a drive for me, so I dont know if I want to go all the way down there, but I might if people are having too many bad experiences elsewhere.

As for purchasing, I put down a deposit with Bruce at Magnussen's like Zowie, and also at Walnut Creek Nissan in September. These were the only dealerships I could find in the bay area that offered me MSRP. I lucked out and WC offered me a CS track with kickplates (I ordered a SS everything except nav) and I took it. Bruce sent me my deposit check back, no problems whatsoever.

Falore was probably the worst one that I spoke to. The salesman told me $3500 non refundable deposit and 3k-7k over MSRP. I laughed in his face and walked. Even if their service department is great (they are probably the most convenient for me as well) I wouldnt give them my business.

After what whatever said about Broadway, I woulnd't go there either.

I was at San Rafael Nissan today, where there is a Brickyard Enthusiast on the floor. It is an automatic but, speaking with the salesman (Richard), I have the impression that you might get it for $500 under MSRP (and perhaps a free detailing thrown in).

Thumbs up Hayward Nissan Customer

I am one of Hayward Nissan's Z customers (picked up on 1-3-03) and I am totally satisfied with the experience from order to delivery. A dealer that sells a high demand / low availability car like the Z for MSRP when everyone around them is selling above MSRP (Fremont Nissan asked for 10K above!) needs to be supported!

Default Nissan 350z service

Well as a representative for Nissan I'd like to say we have extremely great service. I've been in the industry for 25 years and I personally am very atuned to my customers service needs, but sometimes things come up and I'm not aware of the status of the issue.
But I can bet you that if I'm involved I will let Lawrence Shapiro (service mgr), or Gordon Gooch, George Youhuna know you are to be taken care of......... they would anyways, but I get that "special treatment" kind of thing".

Keep in ZZZ touch ....

i hope you didn't buy from jim. he likes to show his immaturity level behind peoples backs. this is the kind of customer service you could expect and what response you would get if you dont like the pricing.

quote from jim

MSRP !!! Just Enjoy it
How dare you say you won't pay MSRP for a Z, what the hell do you pay for a loaf of bread ??? How about a pair of shoes? Do you ask you Dendist for his "INVOICE" ???? Before you pay him ???

GET A LIFE...........!!! Z Salesman are intitled to make a LIVING.

What's your job? How much you make? Let me take 50% of your earnings...........

My experience with Stevens Creek has not been great. I took my 2K Maxima in for warped rotors and they said the brakes weren't warped and most likely the problem was related to my Eibach springs? They couldn't tell me why my vehicle shakes when I come to a stop although there is a TSB on the 2K brakes and Nissan increased the warranty to 36K on them because of the issue! I complained that I brought it in to find out what the problem was and they did nothing for me except not charge me for the diagnostic (which they didn't do since they couldn't find the problem). I did not purchase the car from them. They were charging $5K over MSRP for the Z when I was there last.

I have also dealt with Capitol and have had better experience with them although both dealers are owned by the same person/company.

I just traded in my Maxima for the Z in Roseville this weekend while I was there. They had 5 Zs in inventory, not presold. They had $5k markup stickers on the cars but I paid MSRP and they gave me decent trade-in $ for my Maxima. Loving my Redline.

Actually, Mike, I think you're getting a great car.

Silverstone is one of the most popular colors and the Enthusiast offers almost everything but VDC. And you have the car months sooner.

Enjoy!

Default San Rafael Nissan is great!

San Rafael Nissan was very cool. I bought my Z today there (well, technically it was yesterday. :P )

Wisal, their general manager was awesome. very approachable. I spoke w/ Kenny, who's one of their sales guys. very cool as well. I also spoke w/ Adam, their finance person, good guy, very friendly and helpful. Never bought a car b4 in my life (parents bought my last one for college). They explained just about everything to me, not sure if I took it all in but they were happy to explain things again when I was confused. I spent a total of around 4-5 hours there.

Got a great deal there too, $1500 under MSRP. I would recommend anybody who's looking for a Z to go there. Tell them Austin sent ya and Wisal 'll get you just about the same deal that he gave me.

Btw, I called about 6-8 different dealerships for Nissan and about 4-5 dealerships for the G35 (I was sorta looking at both and my buddy was seriously consdernig the G35, so we talked to a lot of dealerships), out of all of them, the San Rafael Nissan was most helpful on the phone. A lot of places said their cars (either the Z or the G35) have 2.5k to 5k markup; but this place start at MSRP.
