Default autoX this Saturday

I just found this autoX and am planning on going! It's been hard for me to find events b/c I have church on Sundays and my Saturdays have been busy as well...but finally an event that works!

It's in Atwater (Merced, CA) and should cost $35...from what I gather from their website, there should be a good amount of corvettes - the course is said to be more open (i.e. faster) which can be suitable to the Z!

I'll be leaving from Oakland, Saturday morning - let me know if anyone else is coming and maybe we can caravan.

I might go and see it : I hate driving fast on curvy track/roads

I'm in San Ramon

saw there running Sat. & Sun.

We'll need to go out I-580 to Rt. 99 South to BuhachRd. exit (north 1 mi. to Castle Airport Park.

Oak to S.L. though Crow Canyon to Norris Canyon to bollinger Canyon --South I680 to East I-580

If We go together??????

If you guys want to caravan, I'm thinking it'd be easiest to meet around 580 & 680 junction...I'm planning on leaving around 5:45am (to get there by 8am) and would lilke to take the quickiest route - I'll have my sleepy wife with me and am hoping she'll be able to sleep in the car (canyon roads usually don't let people sleep)

I know a few others are planning on coming as well...if you're coming and want to caravan put your name name and where you're coming from.

This was a great event! They do a wonderful job on the course and the course is fairly wide and open...I was reaching speeds near 85mph. They're very organized and easy to run with - I plan on doing more events with this group. (The one downside is that it seems most of the ppl there have been doing this a lot and they didn't have a driver's meeting...I would have been really lost at first if I hadn't done autoX's before - but all the ppl there were really nice and helpful)

*this was my first time w/ the new suspension - it was great! The car had much less understeer; beforem I could trail/late break into corners and things would be okay, now when I did that the rear would come around fairly quickly (all 5 runs had at least 1 corner with a decent fishtail...I loved it - too bad fishtailing is slower)
