Long story short: got pulled over, they popped my hood, and they wrote me a ticket to go see the state ref.
I've got a Greddy TT kit installed. Anybody got any ideas to get around this? PM me...
PEACE!

I'm no expert, but I think your only option is to uninstall it and put the stock parts on. Unless you know someone on the inside...The risk we take for being FI and not CARB certified. Sucks, feel for ya bro. I had a cop tailing me yesterday, I thought I was gonna get pulled over for sure.
What was the reason for being pulled over? How come he asked you to pop the hood?

Yeah, did he pull you over for something else? Where did this happen?

I was on Capitol Expressway and Silver Creek at the light. Saw the cop come around the corner behind me just as I pull away so I turn into the Chevron. He pulls in right behind me lighting up the red and blue.
He said he pulled me over because of my exhaust. Damn Pro-1's!!!!!!

When you got your ticket, isn't there an option? You could:
1. Uninstall and go to the smog ref
2. Pay the fine. What is it like 472 dollars? Anyways.. this would only delay things because once you have to smog to get your sticker, you will have to uninstall things either way.

Depends on how the whole thing went down. Unfortunately the cop popped your hood and saw your turbo kit, which is probably grounds to send you to the state referee. I fought my state ref ticket a while back and won and paid a $10 dismissal fee.
In your case, I believe even if you do uninstall everything and get it to pass smog you still end up paying the $400 or so odd dollars. I would suggest looking into paying the fine and not having to go to the state ref. I had a few friends that got similar tickets and just paid the bail amount without going to the ref.
This is from my experience and what I have observed, so I would suggest looking into it a bit deeper. Maybe some of the cops on the forum could chime in

look for your CARB-EO sticker. if you have one you won't have to pay anything as it is perfectly legal. if you don't have it, contact Greddy.
(CARB E.O. # D-397, D-397-3, D-397-7. Contact GReddy Performance Products, Inc. for details)

Just how loud is that Pro-1? I've never heard it in person. Must howl like a banshee. I would guess the cop complained that it was too loud. That exhaust doesn't have stock looking tips either, right?
I thought my Amuse was loud, although a little quiter with the turbo...I'm considering changing it, but it's just so badass. Everything from the welds to the weight is awesome.
In any case, Rickdogg seems to have some decent ideas.

Did he initially pull you over for exhaust noise or because it was an aftermartket exhaust? Not sure if you might be able to fight why he pulled you over in the first place
If he wrote you a ticket for 27156vc (gross polluter) you're probably screwed. I believe the only way out of this is to see the BAR ref. I went through the process about 2 1/2 years ago (but for exhaust and intake and not for TT) and the only option I had was to go see the BAR ref otherwise the car could not be registered in the future.
The problem with Greddy is if the 350Z specific kit isn't CARB approved (which isn't to the best of my knowledge) you'll have an extremely difficult time getting the CARB sticker.

I don't think the Greedy is CARB legal. I know Stillen advertises the stage 2 SC as
"The Only 50 State Legal Supercharger or Turbocharger for the 350Z / G35 / FX35 (Stage 2 only)"
I'm sorry, man

Yeah, it was about 2am in the morning with no other cars on the street. My white Z slammed to the ground on some rims with two resonators, that TopSpeed calls mufflers, isn't too hard to miss. I heard that they were crackin down on racers in that area because of the recent death on Monterey Hwy. Given that, I'm convinced there were multiple factors that contributed to me getting pulled over.
Thanks for all the ideas though, it's given me some options...
