Well my day was going well till my girlfriend called me and told me it was hailing. Right away I freaked out because I park my car outdoors since I live at the university (plus I have never had any experience with hail or snow since im from hawaii ) I don't know if this is common or not in California haha. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but would the hail today damage my paint on my car?

 

Depends on the size of the hail....
I haven't heard ever of hail damage to cars in the bay area, this usually happens more in the midwest..

The hail was about the size of BB's.

You car should be okay. I parked my car at work today. I checked it after the hail stopped. There is no damage on it.

 

hail was bad this evening on 280, i and another DB zr survived it without problems.. :P

 

yah, that doesn't look bad. It's bad when the hail retains its shape as little *****. That my friend is what we would call sleet or freezing rain on the east coast.
