Yeah, that's what I've read & I think it's due to the influx of heavy rain we had. Went to dinner with my Mom for Mother's Day & my allergies was killing me. Had a hard time eating .

We've had rain up here in Vancouver followed by sun so it's the same situation. I've been using a new over-the-counter medication called Aerius with good results whereas Claratin never worked for me.

Claritin wasn't doing anything for me. I was popping pills like crazy. I went to the Dr. and he gave me Cingulaire. So far so good. Haven't had any issues since!! ALLERGIES SUCK!!

Wife and I went to half a tab of antihestinmine from Walmart. Cheap and enough to kill the symptoms, yet little enough so that we don't want to sleep all day.

Flounase (sp?) is what we used to use. Claritine D / Travis D didn't do S#!t.
We are in the weeds here in Livermore so we need the best! Eye drops help a lot as well. Can't think of the special one...... if I think of it, I'll ping back in.

Good luck this is a bad year ....

Yeah, there are some medications that work very well for me. Basically anything with Pseudoephiderine will squash any allergy problems I have. Downside is it makes me sleepy and it tends to raise my heart rate, not really good for the long term though. So I'm trying to find something that is designed for more daily use. So far Aerius is working decent for me where Claritin did nothing.

Some incorrect info above: pseudoephedrine by itself doesn't help allergies (its only a decongestant) but can help when used WITH an antihistamine, such as ChlorTriMeton or Benadryl. Over-the-counter Claritin is only 50% effective, but try a Benadryl 25mg at bedtime along with it and get some relief if your Doc says ok. Flonase and other nasal sprays help, but are all Rx in US. If you see your Dr. ask her/him about Zyrtec tablets also. This could be the worst season ever because of rain, etc.

i have allergies every year as well...

claritin wasnt workin for me so i called my doctor and my allergies was TOO MUCH where i couldnt do anythin at all or go outside... he didnt have me come in but recommended me to take 3 different things... two different allergy medicines and an allergy nasal spray....

so i took one claritin a day, and benadryl once a night and nasal spray 3 times a day and my allergies were all gone within a day... i did this for a week and stopped taking it 2 weeks ago and im still allergy free!!

Sounds like a Konami code or something...

So you're cured now? I'm happy for you, but I don't think it works like that LOL. At least it likely won't work for me...
