Damn, track was super sticky last night. I was the only z there.. pulled 2.0s all night with consistant 13.7s and one 13.6 on a bye run. best before last night was 13.94

How many practice runs did you get, and how far did you get in the bracketing? Sticky is good! Nice runs for your street tires...

got there at about 3:30, missed the first time trial, and there were about 3-4 rain delays.. so I only got in 1 time trial. kinda sucks for 25 bucks, but made up for it in the times i got.

6 cars left when i got eliminated.. if i didn't red light i would have won a crappy trophy

i have some 275/40/18 bfg KD on my rears.. when I had my worn out 245 potenzas on there the best 60ft time i could pull was 2.2 and that was only once a while. tires were definitely the best upgrades ever done to my z!

Good runs. It is not always easy to hook up there. what kind of mods if any?

ZZ33bOI i don't think they're open next week.. but week after it should be all good. hopefully i'll be able to make that day too (kinda hard as i'm gonna be on vacation starting on thurs though)

I have some ebay testpipes, dual 2.5 exhaust (loud as hell together) and a plenum spacer.. i tell ya the tires made all the difference for me. i think i could have pulled a 13.9 there w/ the tires alone.. but i guess i'll never know!

Sean (CS with intake, spacer, exhaust and 17" bfg DRs) is usually up there pulling some 13.3s to 13.5s.. i'm gonna see how much higher i can launch to see if i can catch up to him

it is closed next Weds 6/21 for the NASCAR practice. The conditions are different from week to week. they prep the track fairly well, but somtimes traction is a big problem. I don't think Sean has hit a 13.3 yet, but he has hit 13.4's and that is awesome considering his mods. he didn't do that overnight though. He has been going there for 3 years and getting a lot of practice. that's what it is all about. I hit 13.9's with street tires. The one time I have used DR's I was getting 1.9 60' times. Once I get the pressure figured out that should be more like 1.8 60". I have a 3360# touring model (no, gas or spare) with a 5AT (no test pipes) and can run 13.8's with no problem.

I was pulling 14.2 with a passenger last week and that was with traction problems.

Again it is all about practice.

Yeah i took about a 6 or 7 year break from sears point.. finially have a chance to pick up some trophies again. quite different driving rwd and fwd though.. launch is much more crucial... that first 60 feet can kill your times or make you shave off a lot. How do you launch in the 5at? powerbrake? never raced an auto before

The sport street class has about 5-6 hot dog drivers. Mark in the green Tercel is now racing in the Jackpot class and he was just about impossible to beat. I find it pretty hard to hook up at Infineon. Next time I'm out I will run the DR's. I have only used them once so I'm still trying to dial them in. I launch about 2500. any more than that the brakes won't hold the car in place and I can still spin the DR's sometimes even at the low rpm, but I'm still working on the launch. Once I get the psi right I should hook up well after one of my tire shredding burnouts.

Yes, 200 rpms before redline with TC/VDC off. It shifts fast, but gains 200 rpm during the shift.

wow only 2500 rpm and 13.8.. thats awesome. so when i was hitting 13.9 i was launching at about 3grand, now 13.7 i launch at about 3600.. get a little wheel hop and it eventually hooks up. i haven't tried a launch that low.. but i have a feeling it would be slower the way I drive.

whats your mph? I'm getting out at mid 101s

My trap speed sucks as does the R/T's on these slips, but it will give you an idea. Most people will agree that I'm usually deadly at the line. this was my first time out since last season. I start getting too rich towards the end of the 1/4. guess I need a reflash.
