Where in Berkeley? What time will you be able to get the car in the morning?

College Ave. around that area is generally pretty safe. That's right where the dorms are and it's in the summer time so your Z should be fine on the street. Just pick it up by 8am Saturday morning. That's actually a couple blocks from where my frat house is (lol) and I feel comfortable parking my Z on the streets. What's your concern, if you don't mind me asking? If you still feel unsecure, there is a pretty big parking garage on Durant and Telegraph which is walkable to where you're looking to park that will let you park overnight. I actually will be in that area on Friday night with my Z; maybe we can have a little mini-meet!

i guess i'm just being paranoid... i'm worried about getting keyed or having my wheels jacked, but it's an unfounded paranoia which frat are you in? i didn't go to berkeley but a few of my buddies from high school did and they were in alpha sigma phi on the corner of dwight and piedmont.

i'll check out that garage, if it looks alright i mide just leave my car there. oh yeah btw, i've got a G. i'm up there to visit my gf and check out the foo fighters concert. edit

Oh I'll have to hunt your car down. Go BEARS!!! Hahahah but stay away from Durant and Telegraph and you'll be ok. Durant, College, Warring(crosses dwight) are all decently safe. I've left my car there plenty of times in the past.

Here's a quick map for you. The rectangluar red box is the parking garage I was talking about. It's pretty big (5 stories or so?) and I'm pretty sure it lets you park overnight. You can enter from Channing or Durant (watch out though, Durant is a one-way street.. I love seeing people drive down Durant the wrong way lol ) Anyway, like someone above said, stay away from parking your car on the *street* around Durant and Telegraph (the parking garage should be fine) because that's where a couple popular Berkeley bars are and the crowd can get rowdy. Durant, College, Channing, Warring are pretty safe for the most part. Safe enough that I would trust parking my Z on it. Piedmont is where fraternity/sorority "row" is so it can get pretty rowdy during the school year, but this is summer so it should be fine. It's your choice though between the streets and garage.. either way you should be fine.

I wouldn't trust the Orange parking lot next to Unit3 on Durant. During the day it's ok(but door dings) and it's closed during the night which if by chance someone wanted to break in, it's not too that difficult.

Frat row is calm during the summers. If you park around Clar Kerr(on Warring) it's past most of the fraternities which is super safe.

No prob. I personally think you're being a little paranoid, but I wouldn't want you to blame me if something did happen to your car. I'm more worried about people not knowing how to park and hitting my car. So does your gf have any hot friends?
