Default Avoid Vallejo Nissan

Hey guys,

I went to Vallejo Nissan the other day to get an alignment - it didnt happen.

I'm new to cars and I guess alignments are not the most simplest services done .

Anyways, I went to the dealer without having an appointment. I did however go at 7:30am, in hopes of being the first one there to better the chances of having the alignment done. I WAS THE FIRST ONE! I walk into the Service Office and guess what?!? 5 employees were in there just hanging out! 2 of them I'm assuming were the service advisors (since they had on collared shirts) and were sitting down with their hands folded on their heads and the other 3 had on their mechanic suits sipping coffee.

None of the service garages were open - which lead me to believe that no work has even begun for the day yet!! I really think I'm gonna have this alignment done now - or at least today!

NOPE! I tell them I need an alignment and the service advisors tells me that they don't do alignments without appointments (fair enough - BUT remeber I'm the only customer there).

He then directs me instead to go to some local shop across the street and that "they'll take me." I'm starting to feel that they don't want to help me

So, I tell them ok, but I need my TPMS recalibrated/reflashed - because my new G35 Rays aren't being read by my car. To which he responds "No worries. I'm sure (that local shop) can do it for you."

WTF? I hear that recalibration is a simple wave of an electronic wand. They can't do that? It can't be more than 5 mins MAX.

I'm convinced they won't help me today so - I instead I opt to just make an appointment for later this week. The Service Advisor then tells me "It's much easier if you do it (make an appointment) online through the internet."

WOW! Vallejo Nissan stinks. And even though they are only 5 miles away from me, I'd rather cross the bridge and go to Hanlees instead.

ARGGHHH! Avoid Vallejo Nissan. Anyone else have bad experiences like me at Vallejo Nissan? Or can someone vouch for them? Am I being to rash for feeling like this?

Just had to vent. Thanks!

Sound like a bunch of d!cks to me. Call corporate (800-NISSAN-1) and share your story with them.

Hey man... Not sure where you're located, but I'd say come on the other side of the Benicia Bridge and go to Concord Nissan...

I went there for a minor service and they were great. Car was back in my hands later that day... I showed up at 9am, and there was already a lot of work happening. I was greeted promptly that morning, service advisor looked at the car, gave me a few ideas, and wrote it up.. I was out of there in like 20 minutes.. And the car was back to me by about 5pm... Awesome...

I'm not depending Vallejo Nissan.... I'm just sharing my experience with them.

I actually have pretty good experiences with Vallejo Nissan although I admit that it didn't start smoothly as well. I work with Steven - da Pilipino guy mostly.

I brought my car to them for a couple of recalls - radio/ gas pump - which were done on time and never had any problems.

They also are able to get me a new short block from Nissan... To be installed later this week. Nissan wanted them to just rebuild the motor... THIS WAS A BIG DEAL...

I think the problem is they probably don't do the alignment at the dealership and sends the car out to a local shop. Not sure if did try to get an alignment before with them....

Now, I don't know why they didn't recalibrated your TPMS... That would have been a way for them to gain a customer....

Anyways, I felt the disappointed initially when I tried to get them to replace the feathered tires and they won't reconsider... I got my Z used and it was just a little over the mileage requirement.. I had to try....

Too bad your experience with them wasn't as pleasant.... I feel for you bro...
I had a similar experience with SF BMW where the advisor was giving me some BS rather than being straight up...

Vallejo Nissan is pretty bad. I went with my buddies to get a fully loaded Nissan Titan for my dad. My dad had written me a blank check and I told the salesman the quote I received at Serramonte yesterday night and he basically laughed and said theres no way I'm giving you that price. What a *****! I think some salesman are just *******s and they think you can't afford a car when they themselves can't afford the car!
