Wow! I didn't realize that Ted was going to sell his shop. Too bad, he always treated me well and got things done faster than origionally quoted.

If it is true that he will still work on Zs, even though I'm in Omaha now, I'll take my Z to him to have major things done! Good luck to Ted and his mechanics!

Yeah - things were going really well over there.
Scott, you're a trouble maker!

I guess an apology is due to all those people who were slammed and attacked for even mentioning Ted was closing the door to SP...

I'd say up to a week for everything up to that point. But I am probably wrong. Give it two weeks to have all that done and have motor in the car, everything hooked up and tuned.

Edit: Thinking about it more I remember built motor TT jobs were in the shop up to a month, maybe more or less I don't know anymore. But I understand your frustration. I don't know about your project but let him get it done and he'll do it wright by the time it's done.

well to my understanding he had all the parts about a month ago, personally i believe he is just taking his time on my Z because of my age ? i dunno it seems like if he works on other cars in front of mine he thinks i wont say anything because i am a "KID"
all i kno is that i cant really do much with my car unless i wanna drive like the flinestones...so might as well just wait it out till he does
but i am goin to his shop everysingle day till he completes it
thanks for the help guys

Yeah that sucks!! Well, I think you prolly caught him at a bad time in his life 3 months ago. You know, going through a big transition, he prolly didn't know when he took your job in. I don't believe it's your age, me friend. Just bad timing.

This really is getting old...everyone won on this one. Let's just drop this debate and let it go. As I said before, just go to whoever you are more comfortable with. That's the bottom line. Unless someone has new positive/negative experiences to share with the community as a heads up, please just let the old subjects go.

Best of luck to Ted with the new shop. Best of luck to Rob with all the Z's. And for us, why let *shops* set us apart as an enthusiast community?

One of the old mechanics was there and it was not Mario. There were two gentlemen that bought the shop and I spoke to Mitch who seemed like a nice guy as did the other gentleman. They offered to look at the exhaust but I had to pick my daughter up from school so could not. I'll probably have them look at it tomorrow... They told the name of the shop is "Sounds of Speed"....

Hey, Sorry if my jokes offended anyone out there, this joke was meant for Warren and not intended for anyone else.

"G", Better edit that joke and make it disappear, this way nobody offended, as they probably don't know we are neighbors and friends.

Thanks Markiev, I'll have to drop by one day just to check it out when I'm up that way. I'll get rgtopz and shoot by when we're both off sometime, gotta see what they're doing to it now.

No problem Wschli1672. I'll be dropping my car off tomorrow to have the low hanging exhaust fixed....Looks like it's a hanger or something trivial but beyond my abilities to fix....

Thanks, the exhaust is fixed and it was just a weld that needed to be redone...I am curious as to why Ted never returned my call...After all this exhaust is only 4 months old and it's the second time a weld came loose. I'm going to vent a little here guys......Ted has done all my mods and I have gone to him exclusively and put 100% trust in his work and integrity. I know he has a new shop and is busy but the least he could have done is returned my call...Heck I even gave him a rare bottle of Colombian Rum( which like Colombian women is something to treasure) as a thankyou for his good work...I guess he had me fooled and does not give a darn about his clients or his work.....Ted, since I know you go to this forum i challenge you to step up to the plate and correct things and show me it's not all about money bro....Buena suerte hermano.
