any good welding shops you guys recommend in the bay area, closer to sf?

They are mostly a suby shop, but MPJ/GB in Hayward is good.

What type of welding do you need? TCDesignfab in Milpitas is an excellant cage builder (he did my cage). I believe he does some light fabrication as well.

Tony (of TC) is an artist with the cage. He did my uncle's Z06 and a few of the other cars in the club. Damn fine work there.

+1 on Tony and he does do some sheet metal/chassis work. He build a pretty crazy One Lap/Targa Newfoundland 5 series BMW by grafting a late model front end on an early 5 series shell.
