Default Any shops that can take off aftermarket wheel without a key

A person working on my car broke my key for my rh j5 wheels. I was wondering if there was any place that could take off the wheel without the key? How much would they charge? Thanks!

Places like america's tire company and wheel works can try, but sometimes they just **** it up too....it's hit or miss with them.

Can you use a scrap piece of bar and tack weld it to the lock nut?

I went to Rich's tire barn, they took this thing, kind of looked like a lug nut extender, it was hollowed out but got smaller as you went in, they hammered it onto the lock nut as far/tight as it would go and then just cranked it with the air tool, broke it right off cleanly.

i had a lock nut on my last car that the previous owner didn't have the key for. When i had to get the wheels of, I went through my tools, found a 6-point, deep-well, craftsman socket that was slightly smaller than the lock nut (lock nut was round, and key part was in the center). I took a mallet, pounded the socket onto the lock nut all the way in, and was able to get it off with a 1/2" drive breaker bar.

To get the lock nut out, I put the socket in a vice, positioned a screwdriver through the socket, and beat the **** out of it with a mallet until it came out. Did this for the other three wheels as well.

Both the socket and screwdriver were ****ed, so I just got free replacements for both at sears, and picked up a new set of lock nuts...with key!

gOOD lUCK...
I had this same issue but luckily was able to find the vendor(McGuard) and got replacement keys...

It really depends on your wheels and your locks. If there aren't any space to even force something in, most places won't even touch them because they'd messup your wheels...

Also, some vendors will let you take a picture of the lock and if they can make out a key...

Ok so now I'm having a hard time finding a place to do this for me because I was told by a guy at wheel works that they would scratch up my wheel doing it. I guess my only option is to find a place that sells wheel lock keys. Anybody know a place that sells wheel lock keys for tuner lug nuts? Thanks

Try Motorsport Techniques in Hayward. They have few kinds of keys there.
