Default Finally, bought a 350z $1500 under msrp!

Just drove home today with a DB Touring 6mt. After fretting about how its not fair how those east coast folks are getting their's so much cheaper, I get mine for $1500 under MSRP!

Hey walc, you're right. You do not have to pay MSRP for the Z anymore. Here's how I got mine. End of February I go to Hanlee's Nissan in Richmond, just to browse (not ready to buy, I'd promised my wife I'd wait til mid March and the end of my current project at work.) I'm just there looking but the salesman practically begs me to take a car and offers me $500, than $1000, than $1500 off any Z on their lot (they had 6.)

Grrr, man was I pissed that I couldn't take that deal then. I thought well maybe it was an end of month quota thing (especially if they still had 6 Z's on the lot.) And would they hassle me if I tried to get that price mid March? Or at any other dealer?

So this week rolls around and I'm ready to buy. Well let me try the internet first, shoot off some requests using edmunds, before I head up to or call San Rafael Nissan on the advice of mobilebuddha and others. Anyways, Stanfurd Nissan calls up and sez hey we can help you out what color do you want? I go silverstone or daytona blue. 30 minutes later they call back we can get you a daytona blue, $1000 off MSRP. Woah, didn't even have to bargain and already they're offering $1000 off. I wimp out and say $1500 off and you have a deal (I should have played hard ball and seen if I could have gotten more.)

Cut this long story short, I picked up my car today. First impression, well big sh*t eating grin on my face on the drive home. I can not wait until 1200 miles are up and I can open this baby up!

Now tomorrow I gotta race to clean out my garage (still packed full of junk from moving in...) So I can park my new baby inside and away from the coming storm!

ps Thanks John350z for offering your assistance as well. I ended up picking the DB because well I wanted a little color in my life (previous car was a white Integra, wife owns a silverstonish RAV4.)

One of the best deals so far in the Bay Area!

Is it a local car and, if you financed, was your rate as good?

Yeah it's a local car. Stanfurd went out and traded their PPW touring for my DB with another bay area dealer.

I originally got financing through peoplefirst at 4.49%. Unfortunately my wife's name was on that loan as well, but she couldn't make it to the dealer with me. Fortunately the dealer gave me the same financing with their bank Chase.

Wanted to make that tea party thing, but wife and I already had plans. Hopefully I'll be able to attend some other gathering of bay area z owners soon.

So after a couple of days with my DB, wow. Well I can't wait till 1200 miles. Engine is quite a bit smoother than the Integra vtec engine i'm used to. Even limiting my revs to 4000rpm I'm having some fun (and a lot more power than the integra.) But I can't wait til I have access to the entire range of oopmh!

It will seem like forever to reach 1200 miles!

I'm at 1000 and it is all I can do not to drive the car around the block until I reach the magic number. The rev limiter is a real help in keeping those initial rpms below 4000.
