I got the 3rd Z in NM in '03 and through ups and downs of modding I can honestly say I still love it. I can say there were at least 2 times where I was frustrated and ready to bag it but a few days later I came to my senses. I'm just saying give it some more time and hopefully you'll come to the right conclusion. Would hate to see you leave. Jason

I am apalled at a six figure sum put into a Z33, a few "supercars" come to mind for that kind of money...but I can also sympathize with you and your love for the Z...all is not lost!
Have you considered a more robust drivetrain, like an RB26 or even the (gasp!) 2JZ? Your Z would live on, make stupid power while being bulletproof, and even earn brownie points for being "different" if that's important to you! (and I know it is
). Although I'm sure RB's in Z33's are like SR's in 240sx's nowadays
I've heard/seen too many horror stories with boosting the VQ35, yet folks continue to boost?!

man with all that money you've spent in there Alex , imo that you should keep this car man this car and you have been through alot of headache and trouble . but you know what? it's always turned out to be nice in the end when it done right . good luck to you .
aww.. sorry to hear that (although I'm relatively new... but whatever). But hey, just keep the Z stock! and mod some other track car or whatnot. Sides, we gotta do that meet at SFSU

hey alex...i like how you have two threads, one showing the possibility of you ditching the car and this thread that hints at a stroker kit.
i'm not gonna repeat what Bing said, but to sum it up, you didn't invest the money you did to go fast. you did it to be different and try things others have not tried. by parting it out, you'll have abadoned the reason for building the car.
in the end, it is your money, and 10-15k is A LOT in anyone's book.
if it was me, either get the car back up and running (nothing additional) or build it back all the way up. i wouldn't sell it.
best of luck bro.
