I still think cutting is the best way to go though. How flat did you get the flange?
In my experience, most roll jobs just result in the lip being shaped into a V instead of the stock L shape flange. If you cut it, no flange at all thus better clearance
Just make sure them tire dont rub

I have direct access to a fender rolling tool at my disposal, but I've been hesitant to do it on my Z. I've rolled fenders on my previous Volkswagen with stretched tires and such, but for some reason I'm just a lot more freaked out doing it on the Z.
