Default The Colors

I would like to say thanks to everyone who said hello at the Friday night meet up, unfortunately due to prior arrangements (can not **** with the woman's plans) we had to depart after only 45 minutes.

I am looking to get HIDs for my car, (yes some of us bought a base ) and seeing as I have to buy the after market kit anyways, do you guys think I should go 6,000 or 8,000? I was thinking 8k seeing as it could look sexy with the blue of my car.

Opinions?

well it all depends on what you want your headlights to look like. 6000k is more white with a hint of blue. 8000k has a blueish purple kinda look. both are very nice. its your call.

8000k is what you want, stock hids are 4000k i believe, 6000k will look factory. and 8000k will give you a xenon look like what you see on bimmers.

I went with 8k on my car and I'm really happy with the look. They're pretty easy to hook up. Probably an hour or two's work if you know what you're doing.

There are plenty of spots that will work -- I chose to put them on the engine-bay side of the fender well, just because that's where the kit I had seemed to fit best. There are some good spots on the outside of the fender well behind the headlight housing as well.

If find the kit you're looking for, I can give you a hand installing it.

i say get the 6000k for the best light output and color. You want hids because they are brighter than regular bulbs right? If wanting brighter lights (to seee the road better) is your reason to get HIDs then i strongly advise you get the 4300k (pure white) or 6000k (white with hint of purple). The 8000k light output is not very strong and is equivalent to regular hyperwhite bulbs.
