Question on Fix-it Ticket for No Front Plates
This might be a dumb question. I got cited for not having on a front license plate a month and a half ago and just received my citation in the mail today.
For those of you have had one before, in Oakland, do you just simply walk up to any Oakland police officer or Alameda County Sheriff Deputy I see and ask them to sign it off, or am I suppose to go to a specific location? The directions were pretty vague and phone numbers on the citation offer no help.
Thanks in advance.

two options: put the plate on get a police officer to sign it then bring it to a court. or take it to the court and they should have some a police officer there. i always go with the first one. its happened to me twice.
You can go to any officer to sign it off, and then send a $10 check and the ticket to the address in the back. Make a copy for yourself as well. Is the box checked in the front of the ticket stating it is a "correctable violation"? I got a ticket for this in SF and that is the procedure I did. Or you can get it signed off and walk it down to the office yourself, which I would feel more comfortable doing.
