Driving back Sunday night on 101S and hear the sound of a rock hitting my car. Immediately out of my mouth are 9 of the 13 curse words. At first, I thought it was the hood and saw it was ok. Didn't see these until Tuesday. The ones on the bumper are deep and the one of the fender looks like someone used a hammer.

yep...now you have a perfect excuse for aftermarket bumper and fender. I hate 101...I gotta tape up the bumper with blue tape anytime I drive on it for more than 5 exits (really!) Once a big rock hit my windshield and gave me the shock of my life leaving a slight crack. Nothing like that ever happens in Hawaii...probably because of 50 mph speed limits.

Yah the one the fender looks bad. On the positive side, it gives your ride character.

Could have been worse. A couple years ago on 280 when I had my wrx a truck in front of me dropped what appeared to be a bunch of brakes disks (WTf? ). I avoided all but 3 of the bouncing rolling discs except one which completely destroyed my fog light.

 

just put a band aid over it.

exactly why i dont think I can ever buy a new car in my life, I like having one small chip or something so i dont go through what you went through. Now when i here a rock I get a little upset but that first chip would be hell for me with a new car.

 

thanks sleepy z you make me feel so much better arggggggggggggg(mine got a couple of scratches from rocks i almost chased the cars down), cause i had that happen. sorry kit that sucks bro.

Bummer, but those things are bound to happen sooner or latter. If you worry too much you lose the enjoyment of driving the car all over the place. Don't ease up on the washings and care. That's what usually happens when someone gets a few dings.
