I agree, Rob does good work but communication is lacking. I think that he might need to get a receptionist or something. I have emailed and called him several times with no response. Im trying to give him more business.

yea yea.. we can all understand that if you pay for something to be done, u want it done.. but knowing ROB.. he wants your car to last with no headaches... why would he boost the crap out of your car to gain the most WHP and then u end up with a bunch of blown shnit.. and it all comes back on him... if u ask him urself.. he wants to be known for the most reliable F.I. cars not the most HP... take it to GTM and gain big power but that requires big BUCKS and more headaches... and with most F.I. systems.. you'll be lucky to get over 35k or plus mile out of it.... ROBs... da Shnit! and all u haters can suck it...

Nope I didn't take it to another Dyno. I'm not touching Scott Performance with a 100-foot pole, FYI.

And yes, numbers matter to me. I like bragging rights. I like KNOWING I hit the power levels I desired. I won't be happy or satisfied until I join the 400whp club.

You know I told Rob specifically I wanted over 400rwhp. You know what his reply was?

"It's not the numbers, it's the feeling you get."

That right there is OUTRIGHT, BLATANT disregard for customer satisfaction and what I as a customer WANTS TO HAVE DONE. I don't give a crap about the whole "feeling" thing. I know the car feels fast. That's not the issue.

I want solid numbers that shows I am over 400rwhp.

That's why I will be going to GTM from now on. If they can get the numbers I want then good for them; they will have my future business, not a shop that failed to meet my demands.

I don't know why you're taking this so personally. I've had an experience with Z Car Garage; I didn't like it, and I'm telling what I THINK to the OP. However he takes it is up to him. I didn't like Rob or his services very much; don't try and force me to like what he did. I'm not happy. Don't try to convince me otherwise.

More headaches with GTM? Would you like to explain that one to me?

+1 Would you like to explain that to me also. I mean facts and not talk. Haven't heard of one complaint, not to mention that shop gives 12 month warranties on all work. And not to mention the 4.2L builds he does, including one of the Super Moderators on here that had his done. So please explain with facts of that statement, as I have not heard one bad thing about that shop. i.e. Names, Dates, Actual Cars, etc. Thank You.

+1 warren.

i for one know that GTM goes above and beyond with their builds. also, sam and his crew will not let your car leave their shop unless the it is bulletproof. if you read any of alex's (nitrouz) 4.24L threads, you'll know that sam and his guys will not mess around when it comes to that much power.

i have dealt with both ZCG and GTM. GTM in my opinion is on another level from ZCG. both have their pros and cons. i've experienced more cons from ZCG. i'm not going into it, but please back up your claims instead of just bashing.

ZCG and GTM are both great shops. there's love / hate in every industry & not every customer will be pleased and that's a fact of life.

Yep and I was NOT HAPPY with ZCG. Do I hate Rob for it? Of course not. I think Rob is a great guy in person. I just will not be returning to him for my business anymore.

It's a free market out there. Customers have the right to choose who they go to. By calling me an *** because I don't like ZCG or Rob's attitude towards my work?

Ugggh . . . . . . yeah . . . . .

You got it. Alex is who I was speaking of and I know another about to get his done, I've actually visited that shop and was very impressed with it. And read multiple threads on the NorCal and all were very possitive with actual facts and sheets, and people's remarks of their satisfaction here on the NorCal Thread. I don't believe in putting people done, it's "child's play". I know Rob, Ted from Scott's Performance and Sharif "Forged Internals. They're all business men. Nobody hears of them making such remarks. Bottom line, everybody picks their own to go to. Like you and I we have my own, but respect to them all. I just hope to get mine done before the Sep 15th Run. Gee isn''t it a such a nice day to smile. After all "It is the first day of the rest of our lives, so we should enjoy it!" With our Z's and G's

What is with this crowd?

When you get the "numbers" you desire please at least drive the thing on the track, get some timeslips, etc.
Z's are meant to be driven! Leave the pissing contests to the Chevy/Ford guys

Will do. For now I have to battle negative emotions as they wash over me when I see a Turbonetics Single stock block setup with higher WHP/WTQ numbers than my f@cking Twin Turbos . . . . .

I understand where you are coming from, as I am mad, too. Guys with my set-up are dyno'ing 660+rwhp, and my car barely squeezed 600rwhp at the ZCG dyno. Darn that inconsistent dyno technology. I wish SP was still open so I could put down 750rwhp.

Oh, and BTW "alving", my car has been to both kinds of tracks, so don't waste your keystrokes lashing at me. I can't believe "MyZFiona" said "su*k it". This is going to be a good day. I love Zs.

Just and F.Y.I.,

I've heard nothing but positive comments on GT Motorsports on the L.A. region forum. Rated top notch shop. No negative comments so far. Known to have superior customer and quality service.

Spend the extra money and send the car down to L.A. to get the install done.

That kind of scares me. What was his "work" doing leaving filthy tastes in your mouth? Egad...

I had my Vortech install by Z cargarage. And have had no major problems. Kind of miss it now since I have sold it.
