Treasure Island Meet 2007
Like John (2004z) said, we (OG) can help whoever wants to lead this... for the sake of us being 2/3 remaining still owning a Z from that group... but this takes alot of time and effort. If you start now, then you should shoot for a late Sept. or Early Oct. date (be weather cautious as well when choosing a date)
James (GTNPU Z) can help also... where u at James?

JMHO......It's true that the RR/TI meet was fun. It true that the potential number of Z's and G's can be alot. It's true that it's good to talk to other Z and G owners and actually put faces with the names. But the fact that TI has absolutely nothing to offer as far as emenities (other than the view when it's not foggy) may turn people off. To be honest, after a while, I was praying for a Starbuck's or anything similar. Like I said, JMHO.

We need a big azz bbq, someone with a truck to roll it out there, had I known last years area was where it was I would have brought a football or two also, we had a big grass area to have a game or two on.
This is my friends Z calendar btw, he has almost every meet on it most of the time, its worth making sure the date doesn't fall on a planned day.

I dont mind assisting in getting some older Z's out like last year assuming you are all cool with it.

This is a great meet every year, and the largest one. Also look forwardilng to it. Originally was doing the Monetery/Pebble Beach run as a Pre-meet warmup. Had 47 cars last year, and this year on Sep 15th hoping to increase. If anybody sets up the Treasure Island, hope it starts soon as Sep/Oct is almost here. Look to seeing everybody at the Monterey/Pebble Beach Run/Lunch also. Free raffles along with the run and lunch.

Not sure if TI will allow this but I think we should see if we can just have a BBQ event over there rather than driving from our usual RR spot in San Mateo. I know that some people didn't even want to show up at RR since it was too out of the way for them (especially the Sac folks). If they allow it and we're able to haul several BBQ pits over there, I think that will be so much more appealing and convenient for everyone. It also allows the vendors to setup canopies & tables ahead of time without having to stress to move to another location. Also, what I think would be cool is to add some events (aside from our usual raffles) if we have space for it such as flag football, RC Racing, etc...Again, these are just some ideas to spice it up a bit from previous years.

I don't mind helping a bit this year but due to my current job, it will be very limited this time around.

T.I. is controlled by SF & to BBQ & get the space you want, (the space we used 3yrs ago) across the street from bay with SF view, you must sign up for it with a deposit $$$ --
If you charge the same as the RR/TI event (? $25) per person or(? $15 )
you'll make a profit.
With some help !
