Unfortunately, most of original crew / organizers no longer own a Z. If you haven't heard anything here, chances are there won't be one.

Sadly, this is true. Most of the guys and girls who helped setup the RR/TI meets no longer own Z's. After last year, we pretty much felt like it was the last time we were going to do it.

That doesn't mean it can't happen. If some people want to step up and organize this years meet, the old organizers will be happy to give you the contact info for Red Robin and also for the shops that provided the raffle prizes.

John... if someone organize it this year, are you going to go block of the RR parking lot at midnight?

Just a few helpful tips to whoever wants to set this up...

- if you're gonna do Red Robin again, I would first get in touch with them and see what their schedule looks like and when they can accomodate you

- I know there are tons of car forums, but you may want to check out some of the bigger ones to see if any of them have a TI meet planned for the same day

- Make sure there are no sporting or special events in the city going on that day. If there is, there's gonna be a sh!tload of traffic driving up to TI (we had this happen before)

- For RR, we used a limited menu that everyone had to order from. No matter what people ordered, they were charged the same price. Food tickets were sold outside before going in to RR.

Waiters took your order and collected the food ticket. At the end of the day, they counted the tickets and we compared this against the number of ticket stubs we had. Price of the meal multiplied by the number of stubs and this was your total.

(Alternately, people could just be seated themselves, apart from the group. Or people could go to any of the nearby restaurants.)

- We had runners head up to TI ahead of time so they could stake our spot just in case any other groups were heading up there

There's more to it, but I can't think of anything else at the moment. I'll add stuff as it comes to mind.

lol that's a big task to set up a major meet, so let's just cross our fingers that the original organizers will set it up!

is it just Z's? cuz if its all cars, then wouldn't everyone come?
