lol well considering this is a public forum i dont feel obligated to share any specific details on here untill after i fight it through the mail and everything lol...
Doh yeah I suspect next time there may be some changes to help prevent things like this in the future. It's just a guess though. Honestly all the runs last year, and then the two this year so far, this was the first one I've ever seen any kind of problem like this with the cops. I think it comes down to what Curtis was talking about while we were waiting outside of town to see if anyone from that group was going to continue on with us. He said that apparently Quincy is where they send all the CHP rookies after the academy for training.
Yeah I definitely could tell that most of them were newbies with the exception of the older officer. And it took him forever to write up the ticket that I can barely even read

Yeah the one guy that caught up with us afterward in the supercharged (or was it turbo'd? I forget) 370Z with the CF hood & the body kit said he was up to 120 at one point.
wow thats a little over kill haha glad nothing bad happened at least, like an accident...
have any of you polished wheels?
You mean with a buffer or something to make them really shiny/chrome-like? Either way, nope.
One weekend I do plan on polishing them in the sense of taking an old clay bar to them, then sealing them with the same stuff I use on the rest of the car. They're factory wheels, painted just like the rest of the car, so I figure why not? Supposedly helps make it easier to clean off brake dust and stuff when washing the car.

I believe his was the TT'd and the blue 370Z was the one that was supercharged but not too sure.

What time did you finally make it back to Auburn?
Well after getting the ticket that ended my fun for the day so I decided to just head home from Quincy. Ended up taking 49 through Sierra City and Downieville to get back. My friend and the Corvette that came to the run followed me down.

As I recall there were similar issues last year with the group affectionately named "The Outlaws". I don't know if any tickets were issued but I do know that names and registration were checked for a few drivers. Hence Curtis' driver's group discussion.
Other than the ticket, which no doubt "sucks" .. it's good that there were no accidents ...

Ha I don't know why but I didn't realize you were one of the ones that got a ticket.
Car is now at the body shop getting a facelift. Tomorrow it should be rock chip free with no license plate holes. Then this weekend the MiNES front lip goes on. Wewt! A week ahead of the show! haha

How much is the rock chip free part running you? Actually, for that matter the license plate "fix" too?

The whole shibag is $200. Fill, smooth, and repaint. Dropped it off this morning and it will be ready at noon tomorrow. It is a secret place in Rocklin.
So secret that I think if you walked up and yelled INS, the place would empty in a second.

Seriously? $200? Is it going to peel off in a month? Is it just the bumper or more?
