Geez I leave you post ****** alone for a minute and you have 10 pages posted in 2 days.
Some replies to past posts, sorry did not have time to hit the quote button...just shoot me ok!
Exhaust sounding meaner...maybe an exhaust leak.
FYI....the 07-08 HR motors have a different exhaust than previous models, more of a dual exhaust, hence the different sound.
Heel Toe answer to the contorted ankle = just buy a 370Z with Synchro Rev and call it a day. There is no need to play that man up old skool game.
Eric, that is why I left you in the dust on the Summers End Run, and do not say there was female in your way because when I passed her she flipped me off, so she probably played you and did not let you pass her. Looking forward to this years Summers End.
Charles, get some new springs and sticky tires and you will fly around the 80 east 65 onramp. I took it last night with a Lexus IS350 on the inner lane and he still could not hang with me with his V8. Tip: forget the Eibachs and go for Swift with RE-11 tires and you will be in the fun zone. Yeh you could spend boo-koo buck on coilovers, but unless you go with 3k KW's and track the car it would be a waste for street driving. A good set of springs will do with the proper alignment and camber kits.
J, The all Nikon guy looking to jump camp....traitor ...haha...welcome to Canon...haha
Jim, where are those photos of your new look?
Lil J, sound clips? I can get you some awesome sound clips. My GoPro just arrived today and I have another onboard camera mount in cabin. The GoPro can be mounted on the underside of the car to get the exhaust sound, or any leaks...haha. Not to mention all the other places this camera can be mounted. Also extra battery pack, cigarette lighter AC adaptor, tripod mount and 32gb memory card. Can't wait to try it out...Mosquito Ridge anyone???
I went the first Fridays last friday -Vette show, it was nice setup. Saw Steve W, missed Alan by 15 minutes, but I was there from 4:45 to 7:15 pm. Alan said he spent 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Any indication to our July show it's going to be a larger crowd than last year.
It's late and I have to get up at 3:15 for work, so out of here, peace out, Idaho-a, later, Audi-here.

I'm assuming a lot of that is lenses? If so why not just get a new Nikon body? Just curious. I'm using Canon here myself just because I already had a film SLR from the 90's from them so I can use lenses from it and my DSLR interchangeably in many cases.

I've been with nikon for 6-7 years now. started with a d50, then and still currently using the D300. Im just not impressed with their line anymore. their top of the line is only comparable to canon's mid-line stuff. like the 5d mark II, same price as the higher up nikons, yet its way more advanced. the video it produces as well as the 21mp resolution (compared to my 13) is a loooot nicer. not to mention canon has way better glass to offer.
my body i bought brand new when it first came out for 2300, i have an 18-70 f/2.8-4 (cheapy 140 dollar lens), a 10-20 wide angle (paid 600), and a 70-200 f/2.8 lens (that one alone was 1300), then tripod, bag, i had a few other lenses but sold, i had 3 wireless flashes and strobe setup with remotes for them all too, which set me back a bit too

Ah ok. Yeah I've been enjoying getting back into photography over the last couple years. I never really knew all the mechanics of it so I'm still trying to learn proper apertures and exposure stuff.
Using a Rebel XSi 12mp right now with the 17-55 kit lens, 75-300 f/4-5.6, the kit lens from the film camera which is something like 35-80, and the Canon "nifty 50" which is a 50mm f/1.8 for $99. Supposed to be decent glass but just in a really cheap plastic body. Got a nice Manfrotto tripod and ballhead setup for Christmas. No external flashes yet.

Well, if you know you're going Canon, that's the great thing about the $99 f/1.8 50, it's the standard Canon EF mount, not the EF-S mount that was introduced with their lower end and mid-range DSLR cameras so you can use it on any Canon body. I think the next step up is a f/1.4 that is something like $250+.

I'm not gonna copy it bro. I want true dual is all. Besides, I think red mufflers would be gay, so have at it.
I roll my foot too. Size 13 feet don't really do the traditional heel toe method. lol Course I'm almost always driving barefoot so I shift normally.
Flip flop crew for life.
Yes. It says at the top of your registration notice that it is due. And if you pay your registration without getting smogged first, they send you a letter thanking you for the payment and say sorry sucker you still can't drive yet though.
7 for the first, then every 2 after, for sure of it bros.
The registration says it bro.
That means you weren't due for it brotato.
Yeah I've seen two main techniques, and read the Z is kind of a pain to heeltoe on so I'm not sure which one is the best one to use for the Z. The two I've seen is brake with left edge of foot and roll your knee outward so the right edge of your foot blips the throttle, the other is roll your knee inward and actually use your heel to blip it. Which are you using?
It doesn't help that my daily use shoes have really thick soles. I use the shoes from a company called MBT and it's where Sketcher's got their idea for their Shape-ups shoe (same kind of design). I need to get something thinner for real driving though.
