Default Freaking Truck drivers!

As i was going to my body shop on 680, some stupid ******* chevy truck driver just cut me off while trying to enter the freeway. Not only that, his freaking huge *** tires picked up a huge *** rock and hit my V2 bumper causing a deep rock chip. The only way it can be repaired is by repainting the entire bumper.. I swear, those chevy truck people think they are the shiet or something, cutting people off left and right. I am so freaking pissed right now....

Hate 'em.

I'm got an Xterra with 32" mud terrain tires which I off road monthly. Once I return to pavement I'm very careful to avoid letting anyone get behind me for the first few miles so I get a chance to shake out any rocks, sticks, or logs stuck in the tires.

When I'm driving the Z I'm situationally aware of traffic in front of me and will never get too close behind the normal truck driver. If I have to pass a gravel truck it's done in the fast lane as quickly as it is safe to do. Those little 3/4" rocks can get picked up by nearly any tire and chip/crack a windshield.

i almost got killed today by a truck driver. The guy cuts into my lane without signaling or checking his blind spot. He was going slower than the speed of traffic too. I had to quickly merge left before he hits into me.. ****.. Good thing there wasn't a car next to me...

If that happened to your car, i don't think it would be quite funny, would it? Either way, just the thought of that chip just makes me weep..

Well, i think the bumper is calling for a respray...lol. I actually like the V2 because it is by far the best looking bumper for the Z aside from Top Secret. Thats why i decided not to sell it kit. That Seattle dude, and i'm sure we know who we are talking about, took advantage of you big time. I have no repsect for people like that.

i feel your pain. a couple of months ago, i was driving and a big piece of metal flew off of a semi and banged into my front bumper adding two nice "creases". the thing that sucks, is that they are creases and not dings and can't be fixed as easily...

after flipping out over it, i just got over it and moved on.

Where I live trucks are the staple transportation and I constantly go around these trucks that drive between 45 mph and 55 mph...I live near a 1 lane highwa;y and everyday it is a miracle if I can go 65 mph for one mile.

FYI for anyone that has road issues with trucks and their load: Get them to stop unless you have a witness. Take pictures of the truck and the driver if at all possible.

I had an issue a month ago with a truck and it took some convincing to their ins. company that they caused the damage. I had a pic of the truck and the driver (the driver declined that he was involved and also declined that I tried to get him to pull over). Thankfully, the owner cooperated, and said they would take fault. Their ins. co. said that if it came down to their word vs. mine, I would probably lose. I received a check on Friday for the repairs.
