Im having the same problem, It wouldnt closed right? i took apart the motor and got it fixed. work for about a month and now the trunk is not open at all. I can still hear the motor making noises but yea. Dealer wants like 160 for the kit. soo yeah just gotta wait see if anyone parting out their Z or might have to take it apart and fix it again. Good luck

you all have relatively new cars, why would the dealer not cover that under warranty? That seems odd, good luck with getting it fixed either way though.

Strange, never heard of this before. You should try taking out the motor and just checking out what's wrong with it. If you're knowlegable on basic electronics, there might be an easy fix.
