Default Trackmaster question

Quick question on Trackmaster for those who've been to their events. Do they provide an instructor for the novice drivers like HOD and HPDE? I looked through their website and couldn't confirm on whether they have instructors or not.

TIA~

Have you applied for membership through their site yet? They don't accept everyone, so that is a good place to start if you haven't done so already. Applying and being a member is free, but they have to clear you first... I had to get a special recommendation from another member when I joined years ago...
Doug and TMR put on great events though.

I did apply online already. I am applying in the novice class with a stock z, so I am pretty confident that I can get accepted for the membership. But I probably won't go if no instructor is assigned though.

There will be instructors assigned to you the whole day. And you have the option of changing if you do not feel comfortable with your instructor. If your instructor feels that you are relatively safe and have been listening to them throughout the day, they will let you drive solo on you last session; that made my day when I went to T hill last year.

Yes you get an instructor. I'm one of them...
Maybe I'll see you out there some time.

Thanks for the replies folks. I am officially a member now. Just got confirmation last night. Now I gotta dig out my GT4 and PS2 and run a few practice laps...I know it's not going to be the same, but the more practice the better.

My member number is 3124...the Cantonese speaking people will know that this is not a very lucky number...good thing I am not superstitious.

Looking forward to my first track day!

Watch (real) video if you can so you can play the track in your head. Think about it while you sleep, know the next turns and braking zones. That'll help your confidence and route-to-speed once you get there.

And start learning/recognizing what the flags mean, the instructors will constantly ask you what they mean, this way you can concentrate on what the instructor is telling you about the track instead of learning both the track and flags.
