Painting OEM stock rims
I am looking into painting/powdercoating my 2008 stock rims on my 350z. Anyone have any recommendations of local shops around San Jose/Milipitas area. If anyone has done it before post your experiences of how it came out. As of right now buying after market rims are out of the picture, but I would be happy with stock ones in gloss black. Thanks in advance for the information

Just FYI, I've noticed posts on here about 06-08 rims cracking after powder coating or chrome plating. Maybe search for these posts if you haven't already. Whether it's a real problem or not, I don't know, but you may want to go with paint instead of powder just to be sure.
I decided not to do it, but I have seen a couple people that have done it. There is some risk involved so make sure to get it done at a place that focuses more on quality vs price. Pay the extra and get it done right , or look into some after market rims. Good luck , tell me how it goes would love to see how it looks on your car.
I had rims powder coated @ NRI and West Coast powdercoating and they both did a good job. They are both located in South San Francsico near the airport. Cost is about 350 for 4 rims.

i depends on how they do the PC if they use too much heat thats what causes them to crack, the lower temps take longer and cost more but they are worth it
i would recomend painting them if you are that concerned about it

Is there much of a difference looks wise between powder coating them and painting them flat black??
