Alright, well, im Jeremy, and I am a complete and total n00b at the Z thing. right now i have an 06 wrx and am going to sell it for a Z. Lookin to get some good info and maybe go to any meets you guys have (if any). So i will probably bother you guys with tons, and tons of questions. so sorry in advanced! LOL

Don't forget to search before you ask "TONS and TONS" of questions. The repost gods will love you for it. Odds are good that your questions have been asked TONS of times already. Unless you want to know how to install an ejection seat or swap your wheels for tank treads. In that case, ask away.

I would keep that 06 WRX if I were you. That's an awesome car, not only faster, but handles better than the Z. Assuming it's the turbo model.

I trade my 05 wrx for a Z.

Z is faster and handles better stock but wrx is much cheaper and easier to mod. Overall I like the Z better unless you have a need for AWD (i.e live in a snowy area which you don't) or need the cargo room/ 4 doors.

 

Start reading before you buy. You'll be a better-informed shopper AND have less questions.

I have to agree - I made the same swap and find the Z handles MUCH better and certaily feels faster.

 

i had an 05 wrx. After i totalled it, i bought an 06 Z. You will love your Z!!!

Yeah the biggest thing for me was the heat soak, really hot day + tmic = loss of power I live in CA so we have a lot of hot days. Plus when I turned the AC on it felt like I lost 1/2 the power. I could have fixed those issue with mods but after a while I felt I was just modding the car to make it tolerable not better.
