dude. the city should pay for it. Same thing happened to a buddy of mine in San Jose.
of course you'll have to pay for the work up front, then give the city the bill and they'll pay.

The shop was able to put an 08 Y-pipe on my car with stock mid/muffer. So I am rolling again.

The good news is that I can have a muffler shop make me a custom mid pipe and reuse the Greddy muffer for $130, which includes all parts and labor. That's pretty cheap granted that just installing an exhaust cost $100 at some shops.

Now I am thinking if I should put the Greddy Ti-C back on my car, or keep the stock one and sell the Greddy Ti-C muffler...the stock one sounds like it's completely silent compared to the Greddy and frankly, I am starting to like a quiet car more and more.

Anyone want a Greddy Ti-C muffer for $200?

BTW, thanks to all the folks who gave me some very useful info on this board!
