Default Need advice on Stolen Goods

Just wanted to get some input. So, here is a short story on my scenario. My daily driver got stolen a while back ago. And I happen to stumple across a persons add on my wheels and tires on Honda-Tech.com. What do you guys think I should do? Only info I got on this person is his license plate. And I don't know if, he stole it or bought it off of someone.

I was thinking about calling the cops. But is it really worth it? Don't want the basturd to come back and mess with my 350Z or the daily driver again.

Damn... Dont roll over and take it. If you are 100% sure that the wheels are yours and you can prove it (i.e. pictures of said wheels on car before stolen, receipt or special markings like curb rash) then you are entitled to get your s#!t back. The guy is selling stolen goods and that should not be condoned nor should it be justified simply because you got your car back. Further more if the guy comes back to retaliate then he will only be facing jail time and will most likely be the prime suspect of said investigation.

I am 100% sure the wheels are mine. My wheel had one tear right where the DOT lettering is on the front wheel. And the guy's listing had the exact marking. I posted a picture of it below for your viewing pleasure. I also added a picture of his car with his license plate number. When I emailed him on honda-tech he just ignored my pm's. Obviously he knows somethings up.

i don't think a little tear in the DOT lettering would be enough for proof

just go back and get your wheels yourself (j/k)

sorry to hear that men even though you got proof thats your rims it wouldnt really matter buy the time you call the police and reported this the wheels woulda been gone already and theres nomore evidence.if i where you you could just let it go or tryna get him back like scratch his ricer or call up your homies and decide whether you wanna do something about it.like pretend you wanna buy the rims and set him up..(hope i make sense.) but remember karma gets you back.and you never know he might be bigger than you lol..but yah gud luck.

If you feel like you are out of options and feel like you can't 1) call the cops 2) steal them back yourself 3) beat him down and take the wheels back by force.

You could always roll in with a quickness slash all 4 tires, and spray paint them barbie pink -- atleast he's won't be able to sell them they'll be fawked up so bad.

spray them is a good idea too. or ask one of your friends to pretend there intrested on buying the rims and when you guys pick it up you gon find out where he lives or if not yall could **** him up at the meeting place.. but before you do that make it sure that your positive that he stole your rims/..about the cops i dont suggest you calling them i dont think they would really care **** i think cops are just a poser when theres a camera making it seem there really helpful.i bet you my $1 they wouldnt give a #$%& about your stolen goods unless you caught them in the act.

well make sure he is the one who stole them first, its a bit fishy that he doesnt PM u back.

Buying stolen goods is pretty common considering craigslist, ebay so I would hate to buy some wheels for my car and next thing u know get pwnd by a previous owner accusing me of swooping his heat. anyways, i dont have any good advice because calling the cops can only do so much, think of some oceans 11 plan to recover them maybe.

I never would have posted. I would have set his car on fire and never said anything to anyone.
