What kinds of times were you guys running? Was the track prepped well? I may make it next week.

I didn't think the track was prepped very well. I was running 13.0xx until my last run which was 13.7 with traction loss. My first run of the night was 13.3 because I forgot to take the TC off. Wasn't running DR's I was using 19" street tires. All runs were 1.98 or better 60' times. Last run was 2.4 60'

Nice!
How come you are still waiting on using the DRs? If you run street tires next week and I make it, we may run close in TIME, as I'd be on DRs with about 100rwhp less. Hopefully I can get a lot of practice runs in.
Do you do any suspension tweaking, i.e. soften one end and tighten the other for weight transfer? I have control of compression and rebound at all corners, just need to figure out how best to set it up to transfer the weight and leave it there. On paper, it makes sense for the rear to be on the lowest compression setting and the highest (stiffest) for rebound, and the exact opposite in the front. Does that make sense?

First eliminations run I went 14.4 on a 13.5. The other guy redlighted so I got excited and smoked up first, missed second and then third. Lol. All around one of the more exciting drives I've had. I didn't think the track was prepped very well either. Seemed pretty slippery. I was breaking loose into 2nd even on my dr's which I've never had happen before

Several of the regulars said the same thing. I had the tower side down though I was under 2.0 on all the launches there. I don't know what I hit on the grandstand side, but I had to back off a bit. It was to bad since I had him in R/T.

Yeah, now that I think of it I saw your run. There was definite tire smoke there. The mustang ran really close to his time which is pretty surprising for a 21s car. That guy I last ran went 13.4 at 116...I've been trying to figure out how the heck that's even possible. It wasn't like he had a 2.9 60' or anything like that

my position is trap speeds don't win races, they only make trap speed queens happy. I could care less what my trap speed is as long as I have a good ET.
BTW: the mustang broke out by one second or so on his next run.

lol. I guess they like cold weather on those things.
I agree about the trap speeds thing. Ive run 13.5 @ 100 and ive run 13.5 @ 102, to me its not important. The car was like a built golf or something, so he probably was just not making any power until 5000 but making a boatload after that. I bet if he had traction and made more boost earlier it would be a bunch quicker. turbo lag FTL

Did you guys see my buddy's SC'd Dukes of Hazzard Orange Challenger run? I think there was a decent group of them - he was running 12.4-12.6 with .1-.2 R/Ts with that huge beast. First race he dialed 12.40 and ran 12.48, but was caught sleeping and had a .6 R/T for an early exit. He said the DA started at +1772 and was +1118 when he left. Do either of you regulars know how far it typically gets down to later in the night during this time of year?
Here is one of his runs:

There is some more talk about going next Wed, as the following (and last two) Wednesdays aren't so hot for me.

I WOULD be going but I had a little mishap with subframe bushings and am waiting on a new set. Hopefully next week. The DA really depends on the day. Sometimes it starts out below 1000', but typically the lowest I see out there is 1000', which is sad because the track elevation is supposedly 17'. It doesn't go down that much after the first elimination or two because even though the temp goes down the humidity goes way up
