If it is not too windy I will go. Let me know if you are going Scott. Will my ECU adjust to 101 octane on it's own??? if so how long, I'm almost empty now.
I'm planning on going, but will be pissed it they pull some 1/8th mile crap because of the wind. I don't know about the ECU, given your supercharger and all. . . Call The Rob.

I wouldnt expect it to. The only reason I would expect to get extra from running 101 without tuning at least a little for it would be if your ECU is detecting knock on regular gas and therefore pulling timing. If you drove for a while and did a lot of WOT pulls with the 101 then I would think it might, but over a short period of time I doubt it. Then again, my car ran faster last time my tank was empty and i put in 96 so

I have never dragged a 350, so I need you guys to show me how, especially which fuse I need to pull to do a burnout. And I'm curious if less gas is better in this car for weight or more is better for weight transfer. Hopefully I can get a few shakedown runs in before the brackets start.

In my 350, even with the blower, it goes faster proportionally by how little gas I have in it. You pull the brake fuse. It is next to the power fuse and is indicated on the kick panel.
Scott, I will call Rob in the morning. I have had as many answers to this quests as times I have asked it. I have turned my fastest and slowest times with it in the tank, so I'm not sure it makes a difference.

Well, it seems I'll show up with about 3 gallons in it, so not too bad. The car is in the parking lot at work and ready to rock sans tire changing when I get there. My wife will take video with frozen hands, and hopefully I get past round 1. For some reason, my SLIP, VDC, and BRAKE light illuminate moments after I start the car. In my easy street testing, however, it seems I'm able to spin the tires and kick the tail out, so it must be defaulting to VDC off, thankfully.
Gates open at 3 or 3:30 (I read 3:30, but another told me 3), with racing at 5? See you ~3:30 if traffic is kind to me.

I just went out to wash the car. It is windy as hell up here and I am reasonably sure they will go to a 1/8th down there with the wind they get. I will still go if you are going, but it seems pretty windy. let me know.
Conditions where fine. Not too much wind. For the finals I dialed a 12.90 beat the Audi(13.5) at the light, knew I had him when I passed him, so I started to coast at the other end and he drove around me. That thing had some ***** at 90. I have never had a car come back at me like that and drive around me. I thought he broke out, but he got me by .010....or something like that.
We got in about 6 practice runs. It was good practice.
can I ask how a auto was chirping 3rd? BTW your cars sick, ive always wanted VS-XX on my Z
It chirps in 4th too thanks to the Transgo valve body that Z Car Garage put in for me. I had a Stillen VB and it was a POS! 5AT's that are set up right can shift quicker than anyone with a 6MT. It is also chirping fat, heavy 19" tires with no sidewall. I will try to run DR's next week and get into the low 12's. I'm only launching at 1500 rpm now.
Thanks! The wheels really make the car. Was that you in the silver Z from Santa Rosa?

Lol, thats what Im always afraid of when I slow down. Some of those guys are really bad off the line, but can pull HARD on the back half

Stupid subframe bushings, wish I had been able to go.
Is "loud" an acceptable answer? It was, however, my personal best in a 350 (since it was my first time).
Unlike Walt, I only got two practice runs in since the traffic was a nightmare because of the bridge closure. I have an entire list of excuses, if you want to hear them.

you would have had to have had a perfect run to win that race. He was right on in every category.
