Default Borla True Dual Exhaust

Hello everyone, new to the forum and I just got my 08 350Z and love the darn thing. I am looking to throw a cat back exhaust on it and was hopping to meet up with someone that has the Borla True Dual. I like the stock look to it and i know Borla's quality is good. I just want to make sure its not obnoxiously loud (I had a civic with a tanabe system and it was way to loud). So if there is anyone on the Peninsula that could meet up one day that would be killer.

Thnks

If i were you, i would rather get the Nismo cat back instead of the Borla. Less parts to connect, and quality is better than Borla IMO.

I HAVE A BORLA CATBACK! I love it
25 more horse power thru the whole range of rpms not just the low gears.
life time warrenty
18 pounds less the stock
nice sound not over powering
stainleess steal
take it from someone who has one not what other people say what you should get. my borla exhaust was worth it to me, I would recommend it to you.

Two of my buddies actually have one of each. Nismo and Borla. And i've actually ridden in both of the Z's as well. I am not knocking on Borla or what so ever, and i think they are decent system. IMO, Nismo has a deeper tone, which, sounds a little better than Borla. Power wise, I'd say they are about the same. LOL......I have never heard of any exhaust systems that gives you 25 hp throughout the RPM range. If you claim that, please provide us with a dyno sheet. Other wise, i call your claim

He probably belives that an intake will give him 15 hp and a photo shoot with some chick, who would rather be somewhere else; would gain an additional 50+hp to the wheels.

I don't have a dyno test. As you said I do believe what borla has told me. My z has added more power since the borla exhaust. It may not be as high as advertised but I do feel a difference. borla advertises upto 25hp through the full range. I am happy with mine.

I never believe info's that the manufacture publish to the public unless its been dyno proven by an independent tester. Like i said before, i have never heard or seen one single exhaust that has yielded even up to 25hp to the crank case nor the wheels. To me, the claim by Borla is BS.

im sure they do, but as he said an INDEPENDENT dyno result. im sure you felt a power gain with exhaust, but 25hp throughout the power band? highly doubtful

ROFL, our cars dont gain 25hp from exhaust, intake, spacer, pulley and a tune combined. But as long as you are happy its all good. Loved my borla when i had it.

if you are trying to get exhaust base on power you failed... i would say 99.8% of all people get them for looks and/or sound. thats it.

If you were to change the headers and the cat converter to higher flow you will get better results on the hp. I did my research when i was buying my exhaust i read the dyno report from borla back then. also read some rags, street tuner and other that recommend borla with a big write up so i went with it. don't have the paperwork infront of me for the numbers and articals infront of me but i didn't buy the borla on a whim. I also got a good deal on the exhaust.. and it wasn't very hard to install either. Custom fit.

lolza. i didnt think it was so bad until ^^^. relax man. if you like it you like it, you just didnt gain 25 anywhere, let alone the entire powerband. if you had gained that much throughout, you would have absolutely tripped ***** on how much faster it is, cause it would be a TON faster.

PS: to the OP, get test pipes. they will add good sound to a stock exhaust and much more power than a catback
