Hi guys & gals! I know it's been quite some time since I've been on line but I want all of you to know I am still very much the Z fanatic some of you may remember. I've actually stepped up a few levels since I sold my Brickyard. My new baby, purchased in March, 2008 is an 08 SL550. (I'll try to up load a pic if I can remember how).
Now my problem;
I was driving in the city last week (yes, my SL550 is my daily driver) and a bicyclist with absolutely no regard for my right turn signal and also happened to be in my blind spot did a pretty good number on my trunk lid, leaving a small dent and a pretty nice scratch which also creased the paint a bit.
I remember a few dent meets in the past and recall these guys doing some pretty impressive work. I'm hoping one of you can recommend and hopefully remember the guy that removed the massive dent on the left rear quarter of that black Caddy?
I have some doubts that they'll be able to fix my trunk but it's worth a look before I take it to the bodyshop.
Oh, the bike guy kept right on peddling btw.
Nice to be back. I hope everyone is loving their Z'z. Every time I see one I get a big smile on my face. I loved all of mine.

Actually no. I replaced the Z with the CLK55. I wanted to go back to a 2 seater and replaced the CLK55 with the SL550. Guess I need to fix the sig.
I don't think they'll be able to fix it anyway, but that last guy at the dent meet I went to was really, really good.
I'm going to take it to the Mercedes body shop next week for an estimate just in case.
When I upgraded to the SL I also changed my deductable from 250.00 to 1,000.00 to keep my premium down. Man, I wish I hadn't done that now. But it does save me about 1,000.00 a year. So as long as I keep my ding repairs in line it will be well worth it
